In John Milton’s wonderful epic poem, Paradise Lost, he depicts a cosmic battle between Satan and his angels and Michael and the other angels of God.  It is an incredible scene, and draws its inspiration entirely from Revelation 12.  The significance of this chapter, however, goes far beyond the source material for Milton.  Here we see that the story of God and his people is, and has always been a struggle on the spiritual plane.
