  • Kindness

This Sunday we will be looking at two more characteristics of the Fruit of the Spirit which are Kindness and Integrity. Can’t wait to see our family worshiping and praising our God together again. David said, "I was glad when they said to me, let us go unto the house of the Lord" (Psalm 122:1).

  • Patience

I'm sure you already know this about me, but in I’m kind of a Federal Express person. It absolutely must get there overnight! Do you relate to this? Sometimes I wonder what I ever did without an iPhone. Have you ever thought what they did back in the days of Pony Express when the expected arrival of mail was one month? Now, here’s what I want you to know. When God develops you and me, he’s not in the FedEx business. You can't text character. You can't microwave the Fruit of the Spirit. It’s a process. It takes time and patience. The Bible word is long-suffering. This Sunday we will look at how we develop patience in our lives, as we continue our series on Fruit That Remains.

  • Peace

Many times when we think of peace, we think of the word that the Jewish people use, “Shalom,” which we think means peace. It also means, “order and well-being.” So when they say Shalom, they are blessing you with peace, order and well being in your life! May you have a sense of security. May you have a sense of a foundation underneath your feet. This Sunday we are going to be continuing our series entitled Fruit That Remains: PEACE. Peace can be experienced in three ways for the believer in Jesus. There is peace with God, peace of God, and peace on Earth.

  • Joy

We continue our study titled, Fruit that Remains. This Sunday we will be looking at Joy. In God’s Word, one of the first things apparent to me is that God wants his people to be joyful. One observation that always confounds me is that the Christian community is lacking in real joy. I just don’t understand why Christians are not be the most joyful people around.! We have hope, don't we? Romans 15:13 says, "now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace: that we may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.” This Sunday we will take a close look at how we can have this real Joy.

  • Love

This Sunday we will be starting our new series, Fruit That Remains. The first message will be dealing with love. When I was growing up, there was a song titled, "What The World Needs Now is Love, Sweet Love". In my experience, I have seen that love can produce broken hearts and goose bumps, loss of appetite and starry eyes. It’s inspired some to die and others to kill. Love may make the world go round, but it certainly causes a lot of confusion in the process! This Sunday we will look at what the Bible says about this powerful subject called LOVE.

  • Easter Service 2020

The message will be from Mark 4:35-41, The Miracle In The Storm. Jesus had been teaching his disciples the Word and now He would give them a practical test to see how much they had really learned. After all the hearing of God’s Word is intended to produce faith (Romans 10:17); and faith must always be tested. It is not enough for us merely to learn a lesson or be able to repeat a teaching. We must also be able to practice that lesson by faith, and that is one reason why God permits trials to come into our lives. America is experiencing a storm right now. Jesus' disciples were experiencing a storm, literally, in a boat with Jesus. This Sunday we will see how we can sail through this storm we are in as well as any storm that comes our way.

  • In your Home

Join us Sunday and invite all your friends and family to watch with you! We will be streaming live at CCW through Facebook. This Sunday, we will be looking at how we live out our Christianity in the Work Place. Man was created for work, beginning in the Garden, before sin and thorns entered the world. Work, in and of itself, is a divine occupation for developing and gladdening human life. God has good purposes in mind when we work. In 2 Thessalonians, chapter three Paul writes to new converts who tended to neglect their daily work because of their interest in spiritual things, and so Paul takes remedial steps to rightly relate Christianity to work. We’ll delve into how to live a spiritual life, while living in the earthly realm too.

  • In your Children

We'll continue preaching about living out our everyday Christianity. There is a sense in which none of us ever leaves school, life is a series of lessons. The whole of life is a school in which we are trained and fitted for eternity. No one can read the Bible without observing this fact. At the same time, the Scriptures make it abundantly clear that life, and after life, are largely determined by the way a child is schooled, when hearts are tender and the personality is impressionable. The Word of God says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). This Sunday we will look at three important factors that come from this text.

  • In your Family

Spend time with your family in the Word and in prayer. Family devotions are difficult to maintain in our constant busyness. This may be the time to establish or restore a habit that will change the trajectory of your family forever. Read a chapter of John together, read a chapter of Proverbs a day, ask the children to act out a Bible story and talk about how they can apply the teachings of Jesus to their behavior and words.
Play some games together. Laugh and talk and get re-acquainted with the wonderful people in your house!
Work together on a project around the house you've been putting off. Take a nature hike, ride your bicycles, play in the yard! Be active outdoors. When the world gives you lemons, make lemonade!
