Ruth 3 is a quiet chapter filled with bold faith. In the stillness of night, Ruth makes a courageous move—guided by wisdom, humility, and deep respect. She approaches Boaz not with demand, but with dignity, risking rejection to follow God’s greater plan. Her actions were strategic and Spirit-led, a reminder that God works through both quiet moments and bold steps. Boaz sees her worth, honors her faith, and responds with grace. Sometimes, life’s turning points come in the stillness—when we listen, obey, and trust God with the outcome.

A study on the Book of Ruth!

When the apostle John called Christ, the Word or the Logos, in John 1:1; 1 John 1:1; and Revelation 19:13, he used a term that had great significance in the Greek culture of the Mediterranean world. In their society with many gods, the god who created the world was above all the rest. Since John was clearly giving Jesus credit in creating the world, he was proclaiming Jesus to be the most high God. Jews, however, used Logos as a way to refer to God. So when John used the word Logos he caught the attention of both Greeks and Jews, saying that the Logos was indeed divine, but was also a person - Jesus of Nazareth. This Sunday we will look at how the Spirit of God, working through the Word of God, brings revival to God’s people.

This Sunday we are going to learn about the proper fuel for the spiritual life. Prayer supplies the energy needed to wear our spiritual armor and wield our sword. We cannot fight spiritual battles in our own strength running on our own human efforts. We have to rely on prayer. We are to ask our Heavenly Father for the things we need. God has what we need (Psalm.24:1), and has said He will provide what we need (Philippians 4:19). Therefore, the only conclusion we can reach for why we don’t have what we need is that we have not asked (James 4:2). We end up worrying when we should be asking. It is the rule of the Kingdom that we must ask (Jeremiah 33:3).This Sunday we will see how we can pray always with all prayer.

This Sunday we will continue with part two of the message, The Sword of the Spirit. Because the spiritual battle is real, we need to learn how to use the sword. All Christians possesses it. We have God’s Word and the Holy Spirit of God. Together these make the Bible our offensive weapon against the enemy. The only question is -- Do we know how to use it? This depends on how diligently we study the Word of God. The apostle Paul spent three years in Ephesus and said, “I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God” (Acts 20:27). Why? He wanted to teach them how to use the sword. He wanted them to be able to use the Word effectively. This Sunday we will look at how we can be effective in using the Sword of God.

The last piece of the Christian’s armor is the Sword of the Spirit. Paul expresses what is needed for the believer to overcome Satan and his hosts when he says to take “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”, Ephesians 6:17.

One old saint said the Bible is “an armory of heavenly weapons, a laboratory of infallible medicines, a mine of exhaustless wealth. It is a guidebook for every road, a chart for every sea, a medicine for every sickness, a balm for every wound. Rob us of our Bible, and our sky has lost its sun.” May we all have this same opinion about the Word of God! Don't miss this Sunday as we will look at the only offensive weapon in the Armour of God. This Sunday, we will be looking at how the Mind of Christ can protect us in our spiritual battles we will face as we walk through this world. The mind is the primary battlefield in spiritual warfare; it is the gateway for information that leads to thoughts, decisions, and behavior. Our only defense is to have the benefit of a mind that has lived in and conquered the temptations of this world.
