The glory of Christ is revealed on the mount of transfiguration.

“If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. 35 For whoever wishes to save his [b]life will lose it, but whoever loses his [c]life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it." ~ Jesus

Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.”

"...And Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why do you discuss the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet see or understand? Do you have a [n]hardened heart? Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?"

With great compassion Jesus took time to minister to a deaf man, healing him to the amazement of the crowds.

Jesus received those whom the world would expect Him to reject.

‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me. ‘But in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’ Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men.”

Mark 6:45-56

Jesus displays His power even over the weather.

Our efforts, our righteousness, our resources are insufficient. But Christ is enough.

Persistence rejection of God ultimately produces a dead conscience.
