Each of us has an assignment, each of us has our part to play, and we really do get to do this together as a team. We can all be engaged in the process of making disciples together.

As we make disciples, eventually this means that we will release people by sending them out and praying for God to work through them. For centuries Christians have been walking through this reproducible discipleship process and now the baton has been handed to us, we are now the ones that are called to make disciples who make disciples and to lead people through this process.

As we grow in our faith in Jesus, we need to be involved in ministering to others if we want to continue to grow.

In the early church, Jesus’ disciples changed the world, but they didn’t do it alone. When we look at Jesus giving the greatest commandment, we really see a primary, overarching command with a secondary command that further defines the first. Jesus says “Love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength” and then he says “love your neighbor as yourself” as a further definition of how you love God.

Jesus shared his life, shared his story, shared the truth of who he was with this woman. And when we step out in faith and in boldness to make disciples and we begin to share with people, God can work powerfully through that as well.

Disciples are made when a follower of Jesus invests his/her life in others.

Jesus raised up a group of people to go out into all the world and to make disciples. And then those people went out and made disciples, and then those disciples went out and made disciples, and all the way down to us.

Often the good times are the most dangerous for us. And I would say today, if things are good for you right now, if you are experiencing blessings right now, thank God! Reflect on his goodness, dedicate yourself to doing his will, and proclaim his goodness to others! Don’t coast, don’t drift during these good seasons. And then when seasons of difficulty come, you will be prepared. You will be rooted in your relationship with God, unshakeable, and confident that God will be faithful in every season.

it all starts with thankfulness. This mission that we have been given isn’t just something that we have to grit our teeth and roll up our sleeves and get it done, it is something that we do out of the overflow of our thankfulness to God.
