A lot of the best things are difficult, and running the race that God calls us to is like that. But it is worth it! We need to sign up for the race by saying yes to following Jesus. The race is full of meaning and depth, and he will be with us.

In this, the last sermon on Jesus' miracles in the book of John, Luke spoke about Martha’s disappointment in Jesus before he raised Lazarus from the dead.

Luke spoke about Jesus healing the blind man—from the 9th chapter of John. Jesus made mud, put it on the man’s eyes, and told him to go wash in the Pool of Siloam. The man had the faith to do so, and he went home seeing. Then a second miracle happened. Jesus asked the man if he believed in the Son of Man and told him that he was the Son of Man. The healed man said in response, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshipped him.

Jesus continued to perform signs so people would believe Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that they may have life in his name. Large crowds followed Jesus because they had seen him healing the sick. One time, Jesus saw the crowd and multiplied a boy’s five small barley loaves and two small fish to feed about 5,000 men, not counting women and children.

When Jesus saw a man who had been an invalid for 38 years, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” Jesus then told the man to “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk,” and in doing so Jesus became the man’s remedy. After Luke’s talk, a student shared how Jesus became his remedy.

After leaving Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle, he went to Jerusalem and cleaned out the temple. Then he returned to Cana and spoke healing to a royal official’s son.

Luke started a new series on the miracles Jesus performed. He spoke about Jesus turning water into wine at Cana and explained that Jesus cares about us and the small things in our lives.

Luke spoke from Galatians 6 to wrap up our Galatians series. He told us it may seem like the good guy often loses, but in the long run, we reap what we sow. We must not grow weary of doing good.

Luke continued our Galatians series. He spoke about four things God has freed us from and four things he has freed us to. We can love others because of what God has done for us.

Jeremiah continued our Galations series. He taught us that we can know God and be known by God. We cannot gain God’s acceptance by striving to please him. Our identity is that we are children of God. We didn’t earn it. It was a gift.
