Cedar Point Recovery is a Christ centered recovery program. We believe that a relationship with Jesus is essential to finding success on the road to recovery. We believe that we are not powerless in our situations, that with the help of Jesus we have the ability to change. We believe that Jesus is the ultimate story changer and that our past does not define us.

In order to travel the narrow road, we must have a narrow focus. Our “good intentions” or our “noble pursuits” will not earn us a seat at the table or bring us into the KIngdom of God. Outside of Christ there are no righteous people. Because of that we must endeavor to know Him and follow Him. We will not accidentally make him Lord, we will not accidentally have a relationship that saves. We must pursue His presence and make sure He is first in every area of our lives.

Our “good intentions” of successful careers, great family legacies, physical goals, wealth, and personal experiences are not necessarily bad, but they can not be our guides and they make a lousy compass. We must center ourselves, our lives, and our journeys on the gateway to life. We must live to honor God and exemplify Jesus.a
