I have been blessed to cover the NBA since 1998 with the Dallas Mavericks. I have interview several coaches and players. Kobe Bryant was  truly a player that I will never forget. Bryant entered the National Basketball Association (NBA) directly from high school, and played his entire 20-season professional career in the league with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant won five NBA championships, was an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, 12-time member of the All-Defensive Team, was named the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP), and was a two-time NBA Finals MVP winner. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, he led the NBA in scoring during two seasons, ranks fourth on the league's all-time regular season scoring, and ranks fourth on the all-time postseason scoring list. Bryant died on January 26, 2020, in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. Eight others, including his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant, and college baseball coach John Altobelli, were also killed. On Saturday January 18 2020, The DESCENDANTS OF THE CHICKASAW AND CHOCTAW FREEDMEN NATIONS held it third meeting in Tatum Oklahoma. Dorscine Spigner Littles along with Marilyn Vann and several committee members were in attendance. The next meeting will be held on this Saturday at 1pm at the Faith Memorial Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.  The address is 3117 North Kelly Street. DESCENDANTS OF THE CHICKASAW AND CHOCTAW FREEDMEN NATIONS

Here is some history on how the town of Tatum was birth. Lee Tatum and his wife, Mary, applied for a post office designation in 1895, beginning the town of Tatums in Indian Territory. A hotel was built in 1899, a blacksmith shop in 1900, a cotton gin and sawmill in 1910, and a motor garage in 1918. Oil wells were drilled in the area in the 1920s, bringing wealth to several of Tatums' farmers and landowners. The Julius Rosenwald Fund helped build a brick school in 1925–26, and the WPA built another in 1936. Tatums' Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, was completed in 1919.

Tatums experienced the crippling effects of the Great Depression, and many residents migrated to urban areas. At the end of the 20th century, the population stood at 172, and the town awaited economic revival. The 2010 census counted 151 residents.

{A}. Citizenship application is the first thing a person needs to do.

{B}. Apply for citizenship you need the following items:

{1}. Your birthday certificate

{2}. Your parents’ birth and death certificates. {

C}. You need to be linked to someone of the Dawes Roll.

{D}. BIA {Bureau of Indian Affairs} is the only organization that can deny a person citizenship into the Chickasaw and Choctaw nations.

{E}. You can appeal a denial letter. {

F}. A Dawes Roll number is the same as a social security number.

{G}. Go online and get an application for citizenship into the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nations.
