Coach Josh Davis brings over 10 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level to Murray State College. Coach Davis previously was the associate head coach at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma. In his four years at OBU, Davis recruited and coached 11 All-GAC team selections, won one regular season GAC championship, and made two NCAA Division II Tournament berths. Before Oklahoma Baptist University, Davis was the director of basketball operations at NCAA Division 1 Mercer University for one season. Before his stop at Mercer University, Davis spent 5 years as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II Limestone University in Gaffney, South Carolina. During his time at Limestone University, Davis helped guide the teams to two conference regular season titles, two Conference Carolinas Tournament championships, and three NCAA Tournament berths. While at Limestone, Davis signed five NCAA Division 1 transfers, five All-Conference players, and two All-Tournament honorees. Before his time at Limestone University, Davis served as the graduate assistant at Liberty University. Davis played two years at Eastern Wyoming College at the NJCAA level, earning Academic All-America honors in 2007. From there, he went to LeTourneau University where he earned honorable mention All-Conference accolades and was a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree. Davis holds a master’s degree in human services from Liberty in 2011 and is a 2009 graduate of LeTourneau University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. Davis and his wife, Kimberly, have one daughter, Audrey.
