DC Entertainment and Audible have released a new trailer for the upcoming audiobook adaptation of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman. The trailer offers a taste of James McAvoy's performance as the voice of Morpheus, a.k.a. Dream of the Endless. DC and Audible also debuted the cover art for the audiobook adaptation of The Sandman, which you can see below. In addition to McAvoy as Morpheus, Dream's sister, Death, is played by Kat Dennings. Taron Egerton plays John Constantine. Andy Serkis is Matthew the Raven. Michael Sheen plays Lucifer. Bebe Neuwirth is the Siamese Cat. Riz Ahmed plays the nightmare called the Corinthian. Gaiman will serve as the narrator.

With only a little more than a week to go before Neil Gaiman (American Gods), Dirk Maggs (Good Omens, Anansi Boys), and Audible Originals' first-ever audio production of the author's popular and highly influential The Sandman, fans are being treated to a look at/listen to the official trailer for the adaptation. Set for release on July 15, the following clip does much more than serve as a date reminder: listeners also get a tiny sample of what they can expect from James McAvoy (His Dark Materials), whos' tackling the "Dream" role of Morpheus.

Audible is teasing its audiobook adaptation of The Sandman.

The Amazon audiobook producer shared a trailer for the adaptation Monday featuring James McAvoy as the voice of Morpheus, aka Dream of the Endless, an ancient and powerful being who personifies dreams.

“I am a passenger. I am moving through your dreams — all your dreams — and you never knew,” Morpheus (McAvoy) says in the preview.

The God of High School is named after the in-universe tournament of the same name – a martial arts tournament where the winner’s wish is granted, and participants can borrow power from the gods themselves. Although, this debut is explicitly light on lore, mechanics, and the like. All that will presumably be explained later. For now, The God of High School takes time to introduce its characters, their chemistry, and some of sweet, sweet action.

Created by Yongje Park, the series debuted in South Korea on Webtoon back in 2011, and was translated to English beginning in 2014. The series is still ongoing and now includes nearly 500 chapters, and was even made into a mobile game. Now, thanks to Crunchyroll, Webtoon, and Studio MAPPA, it finds itself as one of the first in a new wave of Korean anime.

Let’s start this list off with a Crunchyroll original that is based off of a South Korean manhwa and follows a young martial artist named Jin Mo-Ri who enters a tournament known as “The God of High School.”

It’s finally here! One of the most anticipated Summer 2020 anime adaptations is now airing on the Crunchyroll platform. The God of High School is based on the popular webcomic written by Yongje Park. MAPPA is in charge of the animation production. 

This spring, Crunchyroll turned Tower of God, a hit South Korean webtoon, into the streaming platform’s most popular seasonal anime. Can they do it again this summer?
