“I’m proud of who I am, but I’m having very hard conversations lately. What does comedy look like now? What does my existence look like now?” says stand-up comedian Dina Nina.
“Around the country, they’re already coming for us trans people and queer people. So Pride this year is examining who I am, how I move through the world, and honoring my current ability to live my life as who I am and what I want. Because let’s face it: if they outlaw me, I can’t go back in the closet.”
Today, Tuesday host Ali Muldrow shares some much-needed laughs with local stand-up comedian Dina Nina as they talk about lifting up trans voices during this very weird Pride month.
Dina Nina is a Madison-based stand-up comedian, speaker, and actor. She blogs for HuffPost and is the founder of Lady Laughs Comedy.
