When Peter writes to his early Christian audience he builds everything on the fact that Jesus is Lord. What does this mean in our lives, marriages, worship, work and everything else?

Peter calls his audience to crave the things that are natural for those who have new life in Christ, but what does this look like? How do our actions, patterns and habits cultivate a desire for "pure, spiritual milk"?

Peter writes that suffering is commendable to God. How can that be? What is the value of going through trials? What does the way we respond to these situations say about the God we claim to follow?

Because Peter was shaped by the Exodus narrative, he uses some of these same images to help the church understand who they are. Is this your story? Is this your identity? Is this your family?

Our response to Jesus' resurrection is faithfulness, but it can be hard to know we're being faithful to someone we've never seen. Because of this, we know we are being faithful when our commitment to Jesus cost us something.
