The centurion in Luke 7 demonstrates extraordinary faith, recognizing the authority of Jesus and the power of His Word. He does not seek magical formulas but believes in the complete revelation and divine authority of Christ. This spiritual alignment between Jesus’ authority and God deeply impresses Jesus, who marvels at such great faith.

Lessons from the centurion:

God’s Word is always trustworthy.

It is eternal, unchanging, and all-powerful.

It is our ultimate authority, useful for teaching, correcting, and guiding us in righteousness.

When we take God’s Word as our ultimate authority, we align ourselves with His will and His power to fulfill His purpose in our lives.

Practical action:

Read the Word, believe the Word, and act on the Word.

Viviamo per seguire Gesù, amandolo e adorandolo con tutto ciò che siamo. Non cerchiamo il "cibo che perisce" ma il "cibo eterno": credere e seguire Gesù significa trasformarsi da semplici seguaci a veri discepoli. La salvezza non deriva dalle opere o dal semplice dichiarare fede, ma dall’applicazione della volontà di Dio e dal seguire Cristo autenticamente, mettendo Lui al centro della propria vita. Come il giovane ricco, rischiamo di perdere Gesù se siamo troppo concentrati su altre cose. Per dare significato alla nostra vita, dobbiamo seguire Cristo e cercare Colui che dona la salvezza, non solo il dono stesso.

We live to follow Jesus, loving and worshiping Him with all that we are. We should seek not the "food that perishes" but the "eternal food": believing in and following Jesus transforms us from mere followers into true disciples. Salvation doesn't come from works or simply professing faith but from applying God's will and authentically following Christ, placing Him at the center of our lives. Like the rich young man, we risk losing Jesus if we're too focused on other things. To give meaning to our lives, we must follow Christ and seek the One who gives salvation, not just the gift itself.

Many are called to grow in their relationship with God, but few accept the invitation. The enemy seeks to hinder this, aiming to turn believers into superficial Christians. However, the true calling is to go higher into God’s presence, just as Moses did on Mount Sinai.

2025: A Year to Go Higher

2025 is a year to grow in trust, gratitude, worship, service, and reverence for God, continually moving higher into His presence.
