There are times when it’s good to compromise and there are times/situations that we must not compromise at all.

Compromising our faith happens in the “small” things

We are not called to comfort, but we are called to growth.

When we escape and refuse accountability it sets us up for death, Had Eutychus been sitting next to someone he would have not fallen from the window.

Unlike Eutychus we need not to sit on the “edge”, but watch out and focus on the following;

Even if we we are to ultimately fall, having people “around” us can have the POWER to bring us up from the dead! Let us sit at the right seat, let us recommit, let us not SLEEP!!

Eliminiamo il vecchio, cediamo il passo e lasciamo che il vecchio passi al nuovo, perché Dio è ancora pronto a rendere tutte le cose nuove. Nicodemo voleva ma non poteva lasciar andare via il vecchio. Ciò che è della carne rimarrà carne

Facciamo la nostra parte dell'equazione, Dio farà sicuramente la sua!

Let’s get rid of the old, Let’s give way and leave the old to get on the new, because God is in the business in making things new.Nicodemus wanted but couldn’t let go of the old. That of which is of the flesh will remain flesh

Let’s do our part of the equation, God will most assuredly do his!

Cosa pensa Dio di te nel momento del maggior fallimento?

Pietro affrontò il peggior fallimento della sua vita, avendo tradito Gesù.

Decise che dopo il suo fallimento sarebbe tornato a pescare, di tornare alle sue vecchie certezze.

Il nemico vuole intrappolarci nel momento della vergogna, proiettandoci verso il nostro vecchio stile vita.

Ma Cristo è venuto per liberarci e darci la vittoria.

Gesù stesso ricrea le situazioni della chiamata di Pietro, per proiettarlo invece verso il futuro che già era stato preparato per lui

Gesù sta aspettando che tu accolga il Suo invito a seguirlo, perché c’è speranza anche nella maggior sofferenza.

Abbandona il tuo passato e segui Cristo, torna nel proposito di Dio per te

What does God think of you in the moment of greatest failure?

Peter faced the worst failure of his life, having betrayed Jesus.

He decided that after his failure he would go back to fishing, to go back to his old certainties.

The enemy wants to trap us in the moment of shame, projecting us towards our old way of life.

But Christ came to free us and give us the victory.

Jesus himself recreates the situations of Peter's call, to project him instead towards the future that had already been prepared for him

Jesus is waiting for you to accept his invitation to follow him, because there is hope even in the greatest suffering.

Leave your past and follow Christ, return to God's purpose for you

Gesù non è venuto per aggiustare una vita, per renderla "migliore", è venuto per dare una nuova vita! Il ricco sembrava la persona perfetta e di successo. Forse pensava di aver solo bisogno di un "ritocco".Un leader giovane, ricco, non gli mancava nulla; tuttavia, sentiva il bisogno di venire a incontrare il "Buon Maestro”.

Nessuno ci conosce come ci conosce il nostro Signore. Cosa vedeva Gesù nel cuore di questo giovane?

Non sono i nostri sforzi o sacrifici che ci qualificano, ma è il SEGUIRE.L'invito di Gesù è SEGUIRE, camminare con Lui.Il giovane rifiutò il dono della vita eterna a discapito della sua "posizione”, pur riconoscendo la divinità di Gesù.

Il giovane pensava di "meritare" o "guadagnarsi" il favore di Dio, apportando solo qualche "ritocco" alla sua esistenza attuale.Gesù vuole diventare il Signore della tua vita.

Jesus did not come to fix a life to make it "better" he came to give a new life!The rich man seemed like the perfect, successful person. Maybe he thought he just needed a "tweak". A young leader, rich, he lacked nothing; yet, he felt the need to come and meet the "Good Teacher”.

No one knows us as our Lord knows us. What was Jesus seeing in the heart of this young man? 

It is not our efforts or sacrifices that qualify us, but in the FOLLOWING.The invitation of Jesus is to FOLLOW, to walk with himThe young man refused the gift of eternal life at the expense of his "position”, even though he recognized the deity of Jesus.

The young man thought he was "deserving" or "earning" God's favor, bringing just a few "tweaks" to his current existence.Jesus wants to become the Lord of your life.

Non è compito del tralcio PRODURRE frutti, è il contadino che nutre la vite e di conseguenza i FRUTTI si manifestano sui RAMI.La Vite produce, il tralcio porta. Il compito del tralcio è restare CONNESSI!! Rimanere significa sopportare con pazienza, sopportare senza cedere o CONFORMARSI.

La vita ci sta affannando? Sentiamo di aver perso la nostra “presa” sulle cose?Dipendiamo da amici/lavoro o dal nostro status? Produciamo ciò che è “durevole”, ciò che è sano?Per prosperare e portare frutto ha bisogno di incontrare il dimorare, la connessione senza soluzione di continuità.La consapevolezza di Dio, l'unione, non avviene attraverso un esercizio mentale ma attraverso un'esperienza del cuore.

Come posso "dimorare"?

Collegati alla vite (Gesù), collegati a una comunità, collegati alle persone giuste!

It is not the job of the branch to PRODUCE fruit, it is the famer who nurtures the vine and as a consequence the FRUITS are manifested on the BRANCHES. The Vine produces, the branch carries The job of the branch is to remain CONNECTED!! 

Abiding means to bear patiently, to endure without yielding or to CONFORM to. 

Is life tossing us around? do we feel we’ve lost our “grip” on things?  

Are we dependent on friends/work or on our status? Are we producing what is “durable”, what is healthy ?

To thrive and bring fruit needs to come across the JOINING, the seamless connection. 

The awareness of God, the joining, does not come through a mental exercise but through a heart experience.

How do I abide? 

Get connected to the vine (Jesus) , get connected to a community , get connected to the right people !

L’obiettivo di Gesù non è mai stata quello di creare folle, anzi, leggiamo nei vangeli che le tendenzialmente Gesù evitava le folle. Per Lui il tutto era dare alle persone speranza e direzione insegnando loro la strada per il Padre.

Non abbiamo bisogno di folle (popolarità e tendenze), abbiamo bisogno di una vera direzione.

Noi, come chiesa e come individui, dobbiamo essere consapevoli dei bisogni che ci circondano e dobbiamo cercare di incontrarli con qualsiasi risorsa possiamo avere.Molto spesso abbiamo le “risorse” dentro di noi! Dobbiamo solo essere attenti.

La crescita avviene servendo! Gesù ha lavato i piedi ai suoi discepoli per insegnare loro la vera essenza della grandezza! Non sei mai più simile a Cristo come quando servi!

La vita ti costruirà o ti spezzerà, tutto dipende dallo “small group” che ti sta intorno.
