  • Garnet Grimm

Today on The Neil Haley Show, Neil "The Media Giant" Haley, Caregiver Dave, and David Hollenbach will interview Garnet Grimm of The Savoy Brown Band.

The band is proud and excited to have released its new album, Blues All Around, worldwide on Quarto Records, on February 17.

The release of the new album is especially poignant in that it comes after the December 13 passing from cancer of band founder and sole constant Savoy Brown member guitarist/lead vocalist Kim Simmonds.

Simmonds is considered one of music’s premier blues/blues rock guitarists and songwriters and is also discussed as one of the architects of the 1960’s British blues scene in London.

Savoy Brown was formed in 1965 by Simmonds in London, England as the Savoy Brown Blues Band.  Simmonds had been the group’s guiding hand from the first singles released in 1966 through the band’s newest effort, Blues All Around.

Throughout the years, the band became known for their fierce dedication to blues music, music which not only remained faithful to their deep blues-roots but could also rock like mad.  The band were always true road warriors as well, their non-stop touring also becoming a hallmark of the band’s legacy.

Lead by Simmonds’ clean, crisp, biting guitarwork, the band’s peerless sound quickly became a staple of the 60s music scene and lasted right up through Kim’s unfortunate passing.   The band developed a loyal core following throughout the world, particularly in the U.S.

  • Pam Gadd and PAIGE O’NEILL of Musical Charities

Today on The Neil Haley Show, Neil "The Media Giant" Haley and Paul Hollis, author of The Hollowman Series will interview Pam Gadd and PAIGE O’NEILL of Musical Charities.

There is nothing like listening to music to soothe our souls, but sometimes the radio just doesn’t do it for us. The best music is not necessarily the commercial music we hear over the airwaves but is in the hearts, the voices, and the fingertips of talented people that you don’t hear daily. Musical Charities gives these singer/songwriters a chance to get up in front of an audience and share their music. Many musicians are asked to play for free to benefit a charity, but Musical Charities makes sure professional musicians get paid for their travels and talents. We want them to keep performing so they can share their music!! Musical Charities proudly supports and promotes our singers, songwriters, musicians, and entertainers.

    Music Buffs

It’s not often you are invited to attend a private event and your ticket price (donation) benefits the community. Who doesn’t enjoy gathering with friends and getting lost in music for a few hours?  You are bound to meet new friends too and we can all use a few of those!  Most events will be outdoor where you can enjoy a picnic-like vibe. You will most definitely want to make these events a ritual and consider hosting an intimate event at your home, clubhouse, or other gathering places. You can even choose the beneficiary. Donations are tax-deductible as Musical Charities is a 501(c)3.
