  • 16: The Thing (1982, John Carpenter)

For this episode, we created a Facebook poll for our fans to decide what horror movie we would tackle next. The results were close, with THE THING edging out films like POLTERGEIST and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. We'd like to thank everyone who voted, and we hope you enjoy the discussion.

  • 13: Blade Runner (1982, Ridley Scott)

With the sequel now in theaters, we devote Episode 13 to one of the cornerstones of modern science-fiction, Ridley Scott's BLADE RUNNER. Following our main, spoiler-filled discussion, we stay spoiler free for our reactions to BLADE RUNNER: 2049.

  • 11: The Maltese Falcon (1941, John Huston)

The long-promised episode on John Huston's 1941 film version of Dashiell Hammett's THE MALTESE FALCON is finally here! We begin with our reactions to the latest trailers for Justice League and Spider-Man: Homecoming and, as usual, occasionally veer off onto other topics as well. Follow us on Twitter @settingtheframe and @juniorbeho, and continue the discussion in the Celluloid Jelly Facebook group. Thanks for listening!

  • 10: Logan (2016, James Mangold)

Not only is Episode 10 extremely late (sorry about that), but we pull the old switcheroo by pushing our promised talk about THE MALTESE FALCON even further back, in order to wax on James Mangold's LOGAN. Featuring Hugh Jackman in what will likely be his final appearance in the X-Men franchise, the film is set in a near future where mutant kind is dying off, even the Wolverine. As usual, this is loose and unscripted. Follow us on Twitter: @juniorbeho for Cesar and @settingtheframe for C.J., and don't forget to subscribe and rate us on iTunes.

  • 9: Children of Men (1996, Alfonso Cuaròn)

Returning after a two-month haitus, Episode 9 covers Alfonso Cuaròn's 1996 science fiction film, CHILDREN OF MEN. We begin by discussing recent (well, recent when we recorded this...) trailers for FATE OF THE FURIOUS and SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, and we keep things fairly loose throughout the episode. Don't forget to follow us on Twitter: @juniorbeho for Cesar, and @settingtheframe for C.J. More episodes are coming in the new year, so stick with us! Happy holidays!

  • 8: The Shining (1980, Stanley Kubrick)
We asked fans on Facebook to take part in a poll to determine which horror film we would discuss for Episode 8. The results were close, with Stanley Kubrick's THE SHINING edging out other perennial favorites, such as The Exorcist. The warm-up conversation includes recent horror rewatches Hellraiser, Trick 'r Treat, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, and a few others. We get into The Shining about thirty minutes in, and we end with a bit of a rant by C.J. on aspect ratios. As always, you can catch up with us on Twitter -- @settingtheframe for C.J. and @juniorbeho for Cesar -- or join the Celluloid Jelly group on Facebook! Don't forget to subscribe on iTunes and take a moment to review the show there as well. Thanks!

  • 7: Seven Samurai (1954, Akira Kurosawa)
Episode 7 is a real whopper! Cesar (@juniorbeho) and C.J. (@settingtheframe) discuss Kurosawa's SEVEN SAMURAI, as well as both the 1960 John Sturges-directed THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN and the 2016 film, directed by Antoine Fuqua. Spoilers ahoy!
