In this episode we discuss Tim Burton’s fantastic tribute to schlock-n-shock B-movie filmmaker Ed Wood. Ed Wood was famous for his (really) bad movies, including Plan 9 from Outer Space, and the surprisingly prescient and relevant Glen or Glenda. He was a winsome wheeler-dealer in the dog-eat-dog movie machine of 1950’s Hollywood, an open Transvestite when such things were far from understood, and pulled Bela Lugosi from his post-stardom decline back into the spotlight. Ed Wood might have been lacking in production know-how, but he made up for it with heart and enthusiasm.
