Fr John Walsh is the promoter of the Rosary Apostolate and Confraternity in Ireland. This message was given in Ballinasloe, Galway, Ireland at a conference hosted by The Institute of Marian Studies with the World Apostolate of Fatima Ireland.

Saints for the Journey – Inspiring Lives From Every Age, is a book about lesser known saints, blessed's and Catholics who lived lives of heroic virtue. Kevin Turley talks to author Fr. John Murray, parish priest of St Patrick's Downpatrick Northern Ireland, the resting place of Patrick, Ireland's patron saint, . Among the 'saints' profiled are; Blessed Fr. Giuseppe "Pino" Puglisi who stood up to the mafia in Palermo in Sicily, and was brutally assassinated in 1993 - Maria von Trapp of Sound of Music fame, "who sang her way into the Kingdom" - Architect Antoni Gaudi - and St. Paul Miki of the Japanese martyrs.

Clare Short is a Catholic blogger and mother of three young children. Following her husband’s debilitating illness Clare became the sole wage-earner for her family but then disaster struck when she was forced to close her wedding cake business for fear of falling foul of legislation surrounding same-sex marriage. Divine providence struck when Clare was inspired to indulge her passion for creativity and began designing and producing beautiful and affordable liturgical vestments. This then lead to a very special meeting with the Emeritus Pope Benedict to present him with a bespoke chasuble for his 90th birthday, crafted by hand with much love.

The life's work of Robin Daniels is a book written on the spiritual life. Sadly Robin died before he could complete his work. His young wife Katherine Daniels left her job and committed herself to the task at hand. Robin's book 'The Virgin Eye' is an aid to prayer and an encouragement in times of suffering - and a practical help through the ups and downs of everyday life. Katherine tells the moving story of how the book was completed and published - a story of love, suffering, and deep devotion to Jesus and Mary, evident through the pages of The Virgin Eye.

Fifty years ago this month, April 1967, one movie dominated the Oscars. The movie was about Catholic saint and martyr Sir Thomas More, and the movie was called A Man for All Seasons. In the same year another movie was made which proved to be, as the former, a milestone in movie history. The film was called Bonnie and Clyde, the 'true story' of notorious outlaws active during the Great Depression of 1930s America. The following year 1968 Bonnie and Clyde would sweep the Oscars. The two movies could not have been more different and each in its own way marked a moment of decisive change in movie history. Writer and movie critic Kevin Turley visits students at Newman College Ireland to tell the story.

The youngest performing Francis talks to Celtic Connections about his family's music and faith spanning a century of Irish history - and the fascinating story of the McPeaks of Belfast.
