She worked in the corporate world as a programmer and systems analyst. Later she studied nutrition; founded and ran her own e-commerce site and homeschooled her three children. And now she’s a podcaster too. Having been part of the business and corporate world, Kim is familiar with the stresses and demands of that lifestyle on the body. Her current focus is on family medicine, and she has a passion to help people heal from the inside out. She has training in Nutrition, Botanical Medicine, Homeopathy, and Acupuncture, as well as Minor Surgery. She treats a myriad of conditions and is familiar with many different conditions such as allergies, hormonal problems, thyroid conditions as well as digestive and auto-immune conditions to mention a few. Nadine was born in Britain – she actually did some of her growing up in Herefordshire where I lived before I moved up here to Shropshire. She now lives in Mexico City. She moved there to escape the credit crunch and works in marketing. Her forte and primary love is writing content and copywriting for companies that are ready to upscale their online presence.I found Nadine by accident – is there any such thing? I was hunting for my tribe, and for people with skills I don’t have but need who could maybe help me, or who I might outsource to and work with. I hit a LinkedIn site and saw this women talking about “feral” in terms of marketing. Instantly intriguing! That was it, I had to go find out more.And it’s been so worth it! Nadine knows her stuff and, even more importantly, she can explain it in layman’s terms so the uninitiated can grasp it and know whether it’s something they need or not.Add in that Nadine is such good fun, lovely quirky sense of humour, and not always needing to solemn when she needs to be serious. My Power-Full woman this time is wildlife artist, Jules Chabeaux.

Jules and I enjoyed our first chat so much I invited her back again.

Can you Hear nature, the natural world.

I'm sure you can.

But many people are afraid to voice this, to share with others they can communicate with nature. That's getting much better nowadays, people are "coming out" much more, and that's so helping the natural world, the ecosystem and even climate change!

Today, Jules and I share our experiences of talking with animals. times when animals have called to us, we've followed our instincts, our intuition, and gone to be with them. and we each have a story of how we were called to help ...

It goes so deep, that communication with nature. It's real connection ... the real connecting with nature ... where we can hear and respond to nature calling us in a very direct ways.

Both Jules and I have met so many people, in our work, who've had similar experiences. It's so lovely to know more and more people are feeling good about instinctive and intuitive communication.

Freedom is the core of happiness for both Robyn and me.Freedom allows and enables choice, without Freedom you can’t choose, may not even realise choice is always an option.Freedom is one of our core values.It’s not always something people grow up with, parents and teachers, those who have the care of children, may not always be good at enabling freedom and this is often because of what happened for them when they were young themselves.We all need support to achieve and maintain our freedom, and our ability to choose, in our everyday lives. As both Robyn and I have found all through our lives, Nature has so many good examples of how to be free, how to choose, how to maintain your freedom without holding grudges. And … big one … how to maintain respect. Both giving respect and being respectful.And Freedom is wholly bound up with happiness. To be happy we need to be free, and to give everyone else their freedom too. And perhaps “happy” isn’t quite the right word? I met Joan through Suzy Orr – see her episode – another powerful woman who runs the Unique Ladies networking groups.

Joan is the CEO of trybooking, an international company based in the Lake District – how cool is that? What a fabulous place to run your company from!

It’s a super simple-to-use event and ticket booking company – sort of similar to Eventbrite and such, but so much easier to use. And … it has one thing that’s huge for me, a Human Being at the end of the phone!

I’m not the world’s best at using this type of program, and wading through generic how-to docs rarely answers my question. Imagine my delight when I began using trybooking, got in a muddle and discovered there was actually a phone number to call! And then, the phone was answered immediately, and the voice on the other end was a lovely Lancashire lady who asked how she could help me … listened to my problem … and spent the next hour helping me set up my account, the event, the home page, the ticketing, and everything.

Of course, I was hooked.

And that is Joan’s forte. She’s a power-full woman who believes in human beings, customer care, and really helping people. And not just her customers but her staff too. We had a really good chat about teamwork, being part of the team and – and I love this – Delegating Up!

Joan talks about how delegation works best when the staff feel able to delegate up to the boss, where they can take their problem to the boss and know they’ll be heard, listened to and helped. Never put down or belittled. We talked too about how getting all the team involved in finding solutions to challenges really does work, and how listening to and encouraging staff to find new and creative ways to do things can really push the company forward. It inspires the staff too, makes them better and enlarges their skillset. And morale takes off! Not just for the staff but for the managers too.

I love chatting with Joan, she’s had an amazing life which she shares with us here. And so many creative ways of doing business. One of the roles she loves best is being Entrepreneur in Residence at Lancaster University. It’s a great programme to help business students, and the teaching staff. Jules is a wildlife artist whose picture I just love. And her whole connection with Nature is amazing too, that’s how she can paint such living pictures. Jules said to me before we started the show, “I had a very close encounter with a beautiful big Buzzard this morning who flew right down in front of me and almost hovered over me, looking at me…. just breath-taking.” That showed me so much about Jules, and about how we connect. Jules is all about being connected – and she’s a successful artist and business woman too. A power-full example of how to live-with the natural world and our modern one at the same time. She shares her “Weekly Wildlife Wisdom” Live on Instagram each week, telling us about – and showing us! – the energetic and unique wisdom each species brings to the World, and how we can learn from that how to better balance our lives. Jules is an animal communicator, tunes in deeply with animals individually and collectively. Her ancestors are predominantly Scottish with a hint of Irish and Welsh and that’s always called to her heart, so she feels a deep into the Celtic wisdom that knows nature and animals are our elders.
