Anfernee Simons — Guard and scoring option (about 14.2 points per game this season). 

A future second-round draft pick (from Boston). 

Boston addressed a need in the frontcourt, adding size and veteran experience by acquiring Vucevic. 

Part of the motivation was salary-cap management — trading Simons’ larger $27.7 M expiring contract for Vucevic’s lower expiring deal helped Boston reduce its luxury-tax burden and create additional financial flexibility
