Jaylen Brown – Giannis Trade speculation
The Boston Celtics officially made a trade offer for Giannis Antetokounmpo this past week, per @BillSimmons "I think Boston's going to get Giannis, and I think it
will happen in the next week." June 14
Gary Washburn – I don’t think he (Giannis) is going to be a Celtic. I think the Celtics are gauging what it would take to get Giannis to Boston and trying to figure our whether they want to move Jaylen Brown .. I do think Miami has the edge on this, but I do think Boston is kind of sniffing around.
I don’t think the chances are that Giannis is coming here and I don’t think the Celtics are shipping Jaylen Brown in this deal. I think they’re trying to figure out how to get him with out giving up Jaylen Brown.
Reports – Clippers entering the chat with a 5th overall pick going to Bucks and getting Jaylen Brown as the 3rd team.
Why?
Brown wants out?
The Celtics are not looking to pay him long term? But they would give Giannis an extension?
Does Giannis make them better? Would it force Mazzula into changing the play style? Does what happened to the Spurs in the finals add even more evidence to the need for the play style to change in Boston?
Does the offseason involve a full shake up? Mainly Derek white and Jaylen Brown out? Fill in the blank in?
Are you on board with that and the long term plan to continuesly rebuild around Tatum and his contract? Should there always be a 2nd superstar?
How much does the money and new ownership affect those decisions.

After opting to stay in the draft rather than return to Arkansas, Thomas has had a positive predraft process and conducted a wide range of workouts, giving himself a variety of landing spots in the back half of the first round. His size, scoring ability and improving defense have stood out in workout settings and helped him solidify his status in the first.
Boston is a team that annually casts one of the widest nets in predraft workouts and has plenty of depth on the roster, making this pick more of a luxury for them, whether that's picking a more experienced college player or developing a younger talent like Thomas without the pressure of needing to play right away.

Henri Veesaar, 6-11, North Carolina junior big
After the Nikola Vučević experiment fell short for the Celtics, Veesaar would present a new opportunity. He is an agile big with real shooting touch, connective playmaking, and baseline skills with the ability to set screens and catch lobs. He also offers rim protection and is a locked-in help defender. In all three of his collegiate seasons, he made a massive leap in production each year. But he's 227 pounds and his lanky frame can get pushed around, plus he still hasn't fully defined his cornerstone skill.
