Jay King joins to preview Game 2 as the Boston Celtics will look to grab a 2-0 lead against the Washington Wizards

After going up 1-0 on the Washington Wizards in their second-round NBA Playoff series, the Boston Celtics had an off-day Monday. In the meantime, Paul Pierce's career came to a close and his jersey will be retired in Boston. Larry Bird also stepped down officially from the Indiana Pacers. Markieff Morris claims he'll play on sprained ankle for Wizards in Game 2, while Isaiah Thomas missed practice for a much-needed dental appointment.

Isaiah Thomas scored 33 points a day after attending the funeral services for his younger sister and the Boston Celtics stormed back from 17 down to take Game 1 of their second-round NBA Playoff series against the Washington Wizards.

Everyone gets what they desire with the Celtics-Wizards best of 7 series scheduled to begin on Sunday.

Scuffles, pettiness, and hard fouls aside, the talent on each side suggests this will be an ultra-competitive series, as the Celtics and Wizards split their head-to-head season series at two games apiece.

Plus, after flying to Washington after Friday's Celtics victory to attend his sister Chyna's funeral, Isaiah Thomas appears ready for action in Game 1 against the Wizards.

The Boston Celtics season was on the brink after going down 0-2, but Isaiah Thomas and company completed an epic comeback to seal their first playoff series win of the Brad Stevens era. With the Washington Wizards defeating the Atlanta Hawks, the second round is set to begin on Sunday in what should be a fascinating series.

The Boston Celtics embarrassed the Bulls in Chicago in Game 6. The win puts Boston in the second round for the first time under head coach Brad Stevens. They will play the Washington Wizards in Round 2 starting Sunday.
