Today, on 'Our Fiat' we examine censorship, particularly within the Catholic Church, tracing the historical context of censorship from ancient Rome to the present, exploring its connection to community values and the preservation of identity. The impact of Vatican II on the Church's approach to censorship is analyzed, contrasting it with a fundamentalist perspective. Finally, considering the contemporary challenges and the ongoing debate surrounding censorship in various societal contexts.
