The Christian life is one of weakness and confidence. We are weak in ourselves but confident in God’s strength and sovereignty, and His love for us. His unending love is the basis of our confidence in spite of our sometimes terrible circumstances. God’s love never ends and He is working everything together for the good of His children.

1 Peter says we should always be prepared to give a reason for the hope that we have. Giving your testimony can be intimidating for many, but we all have a story about what God has done in our life. Know God and know your story. Then all you have to do is tell your story and let people decide if they want a story of their own to share.

Americans are berated daily by all kinds of messages. From advertisements to texts to news headlines, information is everywhere, all the time. The writers of the New Testament sought to remind their readers and us that there is one message “of first importance” (1 Cor. 15:1-2), worthy of continually remembering. In Romans 8, Paul reminds us that the Good News brings us into God’s own family and promises us an eternal home.

The Good News of Jesus frees us from all guilt. There is NO condemnation for those who believe in Jesus. The Good News of Jesus also gives us new power. Through the indwelling Holy Spirit we can walk away from sin and walk in fellowship with God.

The book of Psalms continually repeats and culminates with the command to praise the Lord. We are worshippers; the question is: What or who do we worship? In Psalm 145, David remembers God’s past works, recalls God’s coming kingdom, and calls all people to praise the Lord.

Praise comes naturally to us -- but the object of our praise is typically not God. In Psalm 34, God invites us to reflect on what He's done, and to rejoice in the goodness of God as a community. Oh taste and see that the Lord is good!

Triumphant Living in a Dark World. The 23rd psalm was not penned for funerals. It is a song of confidence in a chaotic world. It assures believers that God Himself leads and protects us, even in spite of the circumstances and brokenness in which we find ourselves. It offers very real hope in very real valleys.

As a Christian, you’ll experience deeper joy than ever before. But you’ll also experience a deeper sadness. Because sin has infected our lives and the entire world, there’s much to be sad about. Deep sadness or even depression is something that many saints deal with. Thankfully, sadness has an expiration date. Joy doesn’t. In the midst of sadness, Christians have powerful resources for hope. *We apologize for the audio issues in this recording.

We are thirsty people. We are thirsty for meaning, relationships, affirmation. We are ultimately thirsty for God. All our longings end up pointing us to Jesus as our soul satisfaction. He is Living Water. Even in the wilderness, He is our ultimate need.

There is always one reason to praise. That reason is God himself! Throughout the Bible we are commanded to sing - to one another and in praise to God. Truth wedded to music moves us in powerful ways. When we neglect singing, we neglect a powerful tool that God uses to shape us.
