Living a life of 'Humility' is the topic of Pastor Mike's message as we continue in the study of 1 Peter. The humility of recognizing that we are a sinful people in need of a savior is the first step of accepting Christ's sacrifice for our sin. Not because it's God's pleasure to see that but because it is due to the choice man made to sin and separate themselves from the face-to-face relationship with God. We review briefly three major causes of suffering spoken of throughout the earlier chapters of Peter and all throughout scripture. In chapter 5 Peter now turns the corner to discuss the example of how leaders are to show the world how a Christian undergoes suffering in a way that leads to Jesus as our only true source of hope and peace in the midst of it all. Leaders have a purpose, and that purpose is to lead others to Christ. Listen to be challenged and encouraged that the Chief Shepherd, being Jesus Christ will reward faithful leaders when he returns...
