How do you define success? Whether it’s financial, social, or corporate, we often measure our own worth based on our achievements. But God’s definition of success is much different from ours. As we wrap up our series “Remember the Miracles,” Pastor Jeremy DeLoach guides us through the book of James to see the value of perseverance.

Miracles don't always happen immediately. Sometimes healing is a process, and sometimes the answer to our prayer isn't what we want. But in the waiting, it's so easy for us to forget everything God has done to deliver us to where we are. In part 2 of "Remember the Miracles," we dive into the importance of gratitude to our spiritual growth by studying the story of Jesus healing 10 lepers in Luke 17:11-19.

How much has God done in your life that you've forgotten about? The Old Testament follows a cycle of God delivering the Israelites only for them to forget His faithfulness, and it's easy for us to fall in the same trap. As we cast our vision for 2026, we study the memorial stones in Joshua chapter 4 to see the importance God places on remembering his goodness and passing on our testimonies to the next generation.

The upper room was a significant place for Jesus and his disciples, but they weren't meant to stay there after the resurrection. And just like the disciples, we're not called to stay where Jesus meets us. In the final week of "All I Need is a Miracle," we read John 20:19-29 where Jesus makes it clear that he wants to use US to carry out the miracles others are praying for.

You set the limit on what God can do in your life. God's definition of what is possible is far different from ours, but too often we settle for what we can map out and understand ourselves. As we read from Mark 6 and John 6, we see the 12 discliples do the exact same thing. But just like Jesus is waiting to do in our lives today, he shows that we can't box a miracle into our own limitations by feeding the 5,000 (and then 4,000 more).

Christmas feels different for everyone. For some it is a time filled with joy, love, and family, and for others it is a season of grief, memories, and loneliness. But Jesus is ready to meet you wherever you are, just as he did the woman in Nain in Luke 7:11-17. That's the setting for the next miracle in our Christmas series, as we see firsthand the miracles God wants to work through us in our own seasons of emptiness.

But God is bigger than the pain that any one person may cause. In Week 4 of "All I Need is a Miracle," we study the final earthly miracle of Jesus before his resurrection (the healing of an ear) to see how Jesus responds to pain inflicted by one of his own disciples.

You may have heard the story of Jesus casting out demons into pigs from Mark 5:1-20. It's one of the most bizarre miracles recorded in the Bible, but why did Jesus go out of his way to have this encounter with a "legion" of demons? "With great healing comes great responsibility." It's not exactly what the Bible (or Uncle Ben) says, but it's what Jesus tells us through his miraculous healing of the man with the mat in John 5:1-15.
