Let go of what is holding you back and welcome the blessings of the Lord.

“O God, where art thou” (D&C 121:1).

“It had been better for them that a millstone had been hanged about their necks, and they drowned in the depth of the sea” (D&C 121:22).

“Cursed are all those that...cry they have sinned when they have not sinned” (D&C 121:16).

What do you need to let go of? The saints made great sacrifices and lost much to build up the church. Is there anything you're holding tight to that is preventing you from more fully receiving the blessings of the gospel? In this meditation, we will sacrifice, or let go of something that is holding us back, and then we will welcome whatever the Lord has in store for us.

The Kirtland Temple dedicatory prayer (section 109) is a beautiful prayer and a great reminder of the responsibilities and blessings that come with temple attendance. In this meditation, we will reflect on our responsibilities of temple attendance and the numerous blessings that come when we, "honorably hold a name and a standing" (D&C 109:24).

The heavens are open. During times of trial it is hard to see them, but they are there. In this meditation, we allow ourselves to see and welcome open heavens by tearing down what has been blocking them from our view.

Don't we all feel a little bit broken?

Sometimes that is just part of life and our Heroes Journey, or our "Great Adventure," as Elder Uchtdorf calls it.
