Over at Centered.TV we released an episode today called the Science of Stubbornness. We talked about an article in Wired magazine, our church planting experiences, and guys we meet that are getting started.

Sure, stubbornness can be a bad thing, but we think it may be a necessary trait for most church planting situations. If that's the case, we have to find a way to bring that characteristic into balance if we are going to accomplish the other requirements of the church planter gig. So jump into the conversation. North Africa is home to over 120 million souls. God has given Matt and Julie a desire to reach this Muslim region of the world with the Gospel. They are currently developing partnerships that will enable them to start churches in North Africa. Gray is the founding and Lead Pastor of Transformation Church, a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, mission-shaped community with two campuses in South Carolina (Indian Land and Rock Hill), both just south of Charlotte, North Carolina. Transformation Church (TC) was recognized as the 2nd fastest-growing church by percentage in America for 2010 by Outreach magazine.  In 2011 and 2012, TC was recognized again as one of the top 100 fastest-growing churches in America.

Gray met his wife, Vicki, at BYU and has been married for 21 years. They have two children. After graduating from Brigham Young University, he played professional football in the NFL for five years with the Indianapolis Colts (1993-1997) and one year with the Carolina Panthers (1998).  He then graduated from Southern Evangelical Seminary magna cum laude, with a Masters of Divinity with a concentration in Apologetics, where he was mentored by renowned theologian and philosopher Dr. Norman Geisler. Gray is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in New Testament Context at Northern Seminary. He’s recognized by many as The Evangelism Linebacker and is a highly sought-after communicator.  Gray is the author of Hero: Unleashing God’s Power in a Man’s Heart (2009) and Limitless Life: You Are More Than Your Past When God Holds Your Future, released September 2013
