The guys spend some time marveling at the Majestic One. As lovers of the outdoors, Lowell and Billy get excited about creation. But, even more so, they get excited about the Creator. It’s not enough to see the creation and its majesty; we also need to see the Majestic One behind the Creation.

Specifically, we can see that the He is:

* ​The God of Organization.

* The God of Invitation.

These truths help us to realize that we can trust God with all the details… from the big to the small, to everything in between.

Scott Bradley, a Family and Adolescent Counselor, joins the guys again this week to tackle a challenging issue: teenagers!!! The guys continue their conversation from last week about God’s plan for the family. The teenage years bring significant challenges, so they dive into the following questions:

* What do adolescents need most from their church and family?

Scott is a counselor with The Center for Relational Recovery who specializes in Crisis / Trauma Counseling and Addiction Counseling. * What family struggles of today are the “same old struggles” of yesterday?

Throughout our podcast, we see the reality of God’s Design for marriage and family as seen in Genesis. The Lord has designed the family and we need to look to Him for our direction.

Goals can be helpful… but they can also be a hindrance. The guys wrestle with how to Break the Cycle of Resolutions; instead, their call is to establish meaningful routines. To understand routines, they look at two familiar Biblical Characters: David and Daniel.

Psalm 5:1–3 (ESV) — 1 Give ear to my words, O Lord; consider my groaning. 2 Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you do I pray. 3 O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch.

Daniel (the Suit)

Daniel 6:10 (ESV) — 10 When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.

Both of these men understood The Why and have established a Routine of spending time with the Lord.

It’s a New Year… and for many, that means New Years Resolutions! Today’s podcast is about a different perspective – rather than resolutions, how about setting new routines. More specifically, the guys focus upon establishing a routine that develops Intimacy with God.

Three issues that surround Routines and Resolutions:

* ​Understand your Why – Why are you establishing this routine?

* ​A Plan – How will this routine work?

* ​Invite Accountability – Who will walk with you in this routine?

A great example for us to emulate is… Jesus!!!

* Mark 1:35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.

* Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read.

If you think about the past 10 years of your life, I am sure a lot has changed. Looking back over the past year, the guys examine the growth process of podcasts and how to better engage with the listening church family.

News urges you to recognize and understand something that has happened and respond to it.

A Great King has invaded the earth… and he sent messengers (angels) (Luke 2:10)

The Angels, the shepherds, Mary, Joseph… they are not primarily examples for us,.. they are not telling us what we should do, but what God has done.
