Pride Goes Before Destruction: Esther 6 & 7
Haman's pride is on full and final display as he thinks the King would honor him. The killing device he constructed for Mordecai becomes the way of his own death. Using Haman as a negative example, this sermon can look at how Christians are to be humble, not proud. It could culminate in a gospel presentation based on Psalm 18:27: "For you save a humble people, but the haughty eyes you bring down.”
