What is the real message of Christianity? What is the message you are building your life and faith upon? What is the message people are hearing from the church today? This sermon considers the very first "sermon" ever preached in the Christian church. The sermon is by Peter and follows the events of Pentecost. What do we learn from it and how does it inform what Christianity is and ought to be today? There are a lot of mixed messages out there, this message goes back to the source. 

What happened 2000 years ago on the day of Pentecost? What were the past, present, and future implications of it? The church has been from the start a miraculous community, one birthed from nothing less than the Spirit of God. It could be argued that the there is more confusion around these questions today than ever in recent history, both outside and inside the church. People are making assumptions about what the church is and turning their backs on it, even people inside the church are turning away. The book of Acts was first written to bring clarity in a confusing time. This message looks at the first verses of the book and how in a few short verse the very essence of the church is clarified. What does it mean to live this out today?

The resurrection of Jesus is the most dramatic and world changing event in history. Why did Jesus go to the cross and on the third day rise from the dead? Why does it matter? This message explorers the Jesus' death and resurrection from his own perspective. The answer might surprise you!

Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, one of a few events in Jesus' life recorded in all four gospels. Why is this event significant? What was Jesus doing in announcing his Kingship the last week of his life? Why does it matter to us today? This sermon explores the significance of this event and how it informs the rest of Holy Week as well as our lives today.

The Bible tells us that there was nothing physically attractive about Jesus, and yet he drew people to himself, especially through the cross. What made the cross so attractive? How does this attraction often differ from the world's standards? How might we reflect this kind of beauty in our own lives.
