John 12:9-12:19 | The way of Jesus poses such a threat to our preferred way of life that many are not willing to surrender their lives to Christ. While the faith of others is not a faith in God as He reveals Himself in Scripture but in the god of their own imaginations. Finally, those who surrender their lives to Jesus will experience the gospel so profoundly that they cannot keep from making Him known.

John 12:1-12:8 | A stark contrast exists between a woman named Mary and a man named Judas. Mary's response to Jesus is one of extravagant worship. Whereas Judas finds such a response to be unreasonable. We explore why such a contrast exists and what Christian worship truly is.

John 11:45-11:57 | Jesus's miracles causes division. Some of the Jews believe, but the leaders do not and plot to kill him. Little do they know that in working against Jesus they are accomplishing God's plan. We can always trust that God's good plan prevails.

John 11:1-11:44 | Jesus did what no one saw coming and what no one else can do: He brought a dead man back to life! And that's good news for you and me. Jesus is the resurrection and the life, which means He dealt with sin and death so that we can be forgiven and receive eternal life.

John 10:31-10:42 | What did Jesus believe about the Bible? The answer to that question is foundational for followers of Jesus. This text is one of the clearest and strongest claims by Jesus regarding the authority and inerrancy of Scripture.

John 10:19-10:30 | What is recorded in Scripture (and in the Gospel of John itself) is sufficient for faith in the Son of God for salvation. Those who hear His voice and follow Him are His sheep and nothing can snatch them from His hand.

John 10:1-10:18 | The Greek word used to describe Jesus as the Good Shepherd is a word perhaps better translated 'beautiful'. So what makes Jesus such a beautiful shepherd? As our text describes, it's many things! He knows, calls by name, and leads His sheep out of lesser allegiances and into His fold, the Church. He is the salvation, protection, and provision for His sheep. And He loves them so much that He laid His life down for their good.

John 9:13-9:41 | How can you know that you truly belong to Jesus? How can you tell if you belong to the light or the darkness? Do you have eyes for Jesus or are you blind to him? In the second half of John 9, we see a contrast between those who are spiritually blind and those who have their spiritual eyes open.

John 9:1-9:12 | The account of Jesus healing a man who was blind from birth in John chapter 9 is not so much about the physical healing of one person as it is the spiritual healing of any person. Today's sermon points to the work of God that He alone is able to accomplish in any person living in darkness.

Matthew 28:16-28:16 | In order to start the new year off right, we need to refocus on the mission before us. Our charge is to make disciples and help people to follow Jesus the way he has set out. It was Jesus' last words, his marching orders to us while he was on earth. So why then do we struggle so much? Why do we shrink back and become numb to Gods will for our life? What we need is a new heart to love what Jesus loves. We need a new heart so that our obedience to Jesus is not just mechanical but full of love for him and those around us.
