Colossians 3:16-3:17 | To let the word of Christ dwell in us richly is to make the gospel the focus and centrepiece of our gatherings. Our teaching and admonishing happens as we disciple one another in the gospel in all of life.

Luke 22:24-22:27 | Service and submission are unpopular words these days. Community service is something judges force law breakers to do. Submission goes against our culture's quest for autonomy. Yet we follow Jesus, who washed feet and bore a criminal's cross. We follow Jesus, who submitted to His Father's will even though they are One and He is no less glorious. We explore what it means and looks like to serve and submit in light of the gospel.

Luke 18:9-19:10 | We are instructed to "confess [our] sins to one another" (James 5:16) and yet we often find it extremely difficult to do. Confession can only take place when we stop lying to ourselves and to others and we acknowledge the truth about ourselves. Particularly, our lack of integrity, our impure motives, and our deceptions. Confession exposes the lie to the light of truth and sets us free to turn back toward God and get on the path of peace and life that we all desire.

1 Thessalonians 5:11-5:11 | The early church understood the need for encouragement, along with ?"building one another up" and ?"spurring one another on" towards good deeds. To ?"in-courage" literally means to ?"put courage into someone". Giving them the ability to do something that frightens them. One of the greatest things you can do is to encourage someone else!

Matthew 18:21-18:35 | The record of debt that stood against every Christian, too great to ever pay on their own, has been paid by Jesus at the cost of His death on a cross. In light of such forgiveness ? such grace ? we are able to forgive others from the heart.

1 Corinthians 11:23-11:34 | The Corinthian Church lost it's main reason for why they gathered and why they participated in Communion. Paul's command ?"wait for" instructs ?"care for one another", ?"receive one another warmly", ?"grant one another table fellowship", ?"show hospitality to one another" to receive each other as equal members of the Body of Christ.?

1 Peter 4:7-4:11 | Hospitality is the practice of extending friendship to strangers. Literally, 'love of strangers'. Jesus reveals His love for us who were far off, hopeless, and distant from God by bringing us near and welcoming us in. A life that has been touched by the hospitality of Jesus, freely and quickly extends hospitality to others.

James 5:13-5:16 | A church that loves one another is without a doubt a church that prays for one another. And a church that prays for one another is without a doubt a church that loves one another. We are commanded to pray for one another and that command is full of individual and corporate blessing, including becoming more like Christ, our Great Intercessor.

John 13:34-13:35 | We begin a new series on being Christian-community with Jesus' command that we love one another as He loved us. Incarnation-love: no distance He would not go. Cross-love: no sacrifice too great. Gospel-love: the most compelling, total love imaginable. How Jesus loved us, we are to love one another, and it will be our most powerful witness in the world.

Acts 9:1-10:48 | We spent the morning hearing missionary updates, praying for our missionaries and partner missions organizations, and discovered that part of learning to be a disciple of Jesus means we must also 'unlearn' things.
