Centred Creative (formerly Life in Brown)

I recently went on holiday and I share some of the apps and websites I used which made traveling easier.

One thing I didn't mention on the podcast is that I use my Starling debit card abroad without any extra charges from the bank. This is not a promoted post for Starling but it might be useful for people who prefer to spend on a debit card while abroad.

This episode was inspired by a book I recently read called Open Up: The Power of Talking About Money by Alex Holder.

I discuss what I learnt from the book and why I enjoyed reading the book. I also share a few personal experiences managing my money as an adult.

There was a recent comment by the Nigerian Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige where he said there was a surplus of doctors in Nigeria. I talk about this with Nigerian doctor, Gbemi Peter-Ayeni. We also discuss what it's like training and working as a doctor in Nigeria.

On this episode, I review 2 documentaries that I've watched recently - The Inventor and Vegas Baby. Both focus on aspects of healthcare in America. The Inventor looks at Theranos, a biomedical company that tried to reinvent blood testing. Vegas Baby is about a fertility clinic offering a free IVF cycle in a giveaway.
