INTRODUCTION:
Isaiah 9:6
He talked about the birth of Jesus
He wrote about his life
He unequivocally described the arrest and death of Jesus
He prophesied about his coming reign.
Isaiah reveals many names of our Lord
Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the
government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful,
Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”
For unto us a Child is born
Government is on His shoulders: He will rule the nations.
Revelation 2:27 “He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to
pieces like the potter’s vessels’— as I also have received from My Father;”
Revelation 19:15 “Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He
should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He
Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”

INTRODUCTION:
The birth of Jesus shook the earth and all kinds of people had to give a response
before His birth.
• Mary “Do not be afraid,……for you have found favor with God.”
• Joseph uninformed of the prophecy wanted to abandon Mary (When the
angel appeared in his dream “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid”
• Elizabeth wife of Zacharias “But why is this granted to me, that the mother
of my Lord should come to me.”
• Zacharias Elizabeth's husband “prophesied about Jesus”
• The shepherds “Do not be afraid”….. “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see
this thing that has come to pass.”
• Multitude of heavenly hosts next to the angel praised God and said “Glory
to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwilltoward men!”
Responses of heavenly beings before the birth.
Responses of common people on earth "a virgin, a carpenter and shepherds of
sheep."
But let's see the response of some "Wise" "Magi" scholars and an earthly "king"
like Herod.

● Multitud de Huestes celestiales junto al ángel alababan a Dios y decían
“Gloria a Dios en las alturas y en la tierra paz, buena voluntad para
con los hombres”
Respuestas de los seres celestiales ante en el nacimiento
Respuestas personas del común en la tierra “una virgen, un carpintero y unos
pastores de ovejas”
Pero veamos la respuesta de unos estudiosos “Magos” “Sabios” y de un “rey”
terrenal como Herodes.

On our trip to Israel we had the blessing of staying at the "KING DAVID HOTEL" all
in front of the ancient city of Jerusalem.
• The reception was wonderful
• They were waiting for us
• Everything was accommodated for us
• The service of excellence is indescribable in that hotel
• Presidents from around the world and celebrities have been their regular
customers and for them there has not only been pomp, party, delicacies
and expectation, the best rooms and dining rooms of the hotel, but even a
tile in its beautiful corridor has the signature of each famous person.

The Bible records a hotel in a small village called Bethlehem, where there was an
opportunity to give an inn to the largest in heaven and earth "Jesus" but there
was no place for him.
Read Luke 2:1-20
Luke 2:7 “And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in
swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for
them in the inn.”
Could you imagine arriving at a place as a keynote speaker, guest announced and
expected and not finding a comfortable room where to arrive and worse yet to go
unnoticed?
When the Messiah arrived in this world, for hundreds of years they had talked
about it, He had been announced and expected, but when He arrived, He came as
a UNKNOWN, MISUNDERSTOOD AND REJECTED.

En nuestro viaje a Israel tuvimos la bendición hospedarnos en el hotel “EL REY
DAVID” a todo el frente de la antigua ciudad de Jerusalén.

● Nos estaban esperando
● Todo estaba acomodado para nosotros
● El servicio de excelencia es indescriptible en ese hotel
● Presidentes de todo el mundo y famosos han sido sus clientes habituales
y para ellos no solo ha habido pompa, fiesta, manjares y expectativa, las
mejores habitaciones y comedores del hotel, sino que aún una baldosa
en su hermoso corredor tienen la firma de cada famoso. (Hollywood)
La Biblia registra de un hotel en una pequeña aldea llamada Belén, donde hubo
oportunidad de dar posada al más grande en los cielos y la tierra “Jesús” pero no
hubo lugar para él.

7 Y dio a luz a su hijo primogénito, y lo envolvió en pañales, y lo acostó en
un pesebre, porque no había lugar para ellos en el mesón.

¿Podría usted imaginarse llegando a un lugar como conferencista principal,
invitado anunciado y esperado y no encontrar una habitación cómoda donde
llegar y peor aún pasar por desapercibido.?
Cuando el Mesías llegaba a este mundo, por centenares de años se había
hablado de ello, había sido anunciado y esperado, pero cuando llegó, llegó como
un DESCONOCIDO, INCOMPRENDIDO Y RECHAZADO .
UNA HABITACIÓN PARA EL REY.
Una habitación para el Rey desconocido, incomprendido, rechazado.

INTRODUCTION:
Our Lord Jesus, one night talking to a man named Nicodemus (chief of the Jews)
confronts him with the need to “be born of water and the Spirit” meaning that to
inherit the kingdom of heaven it was and is imperative to have an “spiritual
experience."
Our salvation does not depend on celebrating Christmas in December, but it does
depend on allowing Christmas to happen in our hearts.
The Word Nativity comes from the Latin verb nasci; which means birth.
And when we say that of Christ is the Nativity; we mean that what we celebrate is
the Birth of Jesus.
The mature Christian understands that every day belongs to the Lord and with
freedom he worships and honors God in each one of them.
Some characters in the New Testament tell about Christmas.
Matthew wrote of Christ the King (His royal lineage)
Luke wrote of Christ the Son of man (His humanity born in a manger)
John wrote of the deity of Christ (the Word made flesh)
Paul summed up Christmas with the following revelation:
2 Corinthians 8:9 “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though
He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty
might become rich.”
Paul spoke of the Nativity of Jesus:

Nuestro Señor Jesús en una noche hablando con un hombre llamado Nicodemo
(principal de los judíos) le confronta con la necesidad de “nacer del agua y del

sí depende de permitir que la Navidad acontezca en nuestro corazón

La Palabra Navidad viene de Natividad; que significa nacimiento
Y cuando decimos que de Cristo es la Navidad; nos referimos a que lo que
celebramos es el Nacimiento de Jesús.

El cristiano Maduro entiende que todos los días son del Señor y con libertad
adora y honra a Dios en cada uno de ellos.

Algunos personajes en el NT relatan sobre la Navidad.
Mateo escribió de Cristo el Rey (su linaje real)
Lucas escribió de Cristo el Hijo del hombre (su humanidad nacido en un
pesebre)
Juan escribió de la deidad del Cristo (el Verbo hecho carne)
Pablo resumió la Navidad con la siguiente revelación

Porque ya conocéis la gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que por amor a
vosotros se hizo pobre, siendo rico, para que vosotros con su pobreza
fueseis enriquecidos.

Esta temporada de acción de gracias y hasta fin de año llena la atmósfera de un
sentimiento de alegría, de compartir y de celebraciones.
Que bueno reunirse, reír y comer, pero que importante aprovechar este
tiempo para reflexionar, orar y agradecer.
La Palabra nos dice que la voluntad de Dios es que siempre estemos gozosos
(contentos) dando gracias a Dios en todo
PIEDAD Y GRATITUD = CONTENTAMIENTO
El contentamiento de un creyente tiene que ver con 2 componentes “piedad y
gratitud
● Muchos se esfuerzan día a día para lograr escalafonar en la vida y así
obtener contentamiento
● Otros buscan ser amados para tener contentamiento
● Otros buscan riquezas y fama para tener contentamiento
● Son muchas las personas que apesar del dinero, la fama y el éxito no
hayan contentamiento.
¿Existe un secreto bíblico para hallar el contentamiento?
● Si, la clave es la piedad y la gratitud
16 Estad siempre gozosos.
17 Orad sin cesar.
18 Dad gracias en todo, porque esta es la voluntad de Dios para con
vosotros en Cristo Jesús.
1 Tesalonicenses 5:16-18
6 “Pero gran ganancia es la piedad acompañada de contentamiento;
7 porque nada hemos traído a este mundo, y sin duda nada podremos
sacar.

INTRODUCTION:
This season of thanksgiving and until the end of the year fills the atmosphere with
a feeling of joy, sharing and celebrations.
Good to get together, laugh and eat, but how important to use this time to
reflect, pray and be thankful.
The Word tells us that God's will is that we always be joyful (happy) thanking God
in everything.
Piety and Gratitude = Contentment
The contentment of a believer has to do with 2 components piety and gratitude
• Many strive day by day to achieve a ranking in life and thus obtain
contentment.
• Others seek to be loved to obtain contentment.
• Others seek wealth and fame to obtain contentment.
• There are many people who despite money, fame and success have not
obtained contentment.
Is there a biblical secret to find contentment?
Yes, the key is piety and gratitude

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “
16 Rejoice always,
17 pray without ceasing,
18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

1 Timothy 6:6-10 “
6Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

INTRODUCTION:
Elijah: A prophet of God A man who challenged an entire nation of Baals (pagan
gods) manifesting his great faith in Jehovah, having defeated the Baal prophets,
and was in a cave fearful of Jezebel's threats, and God had to deal with him.
Widows: Israelite law has dealt with widows in a special way, because together
with orphans and foreigners, they formed the most disadvantaged stratum of the
population. Widow (at that time and culture) was a woman who did not receive
financial aid or social protection from any male, either because her husband had
died, either because she was abandoned and left alone, without parents, siblings
or relatives taking care of her.

Zarephath: From the Hebrew "Tsarephath" which means Refinery place or
workshop (Because God allows you to get to where I can work with you and
where you can know it even more).
This was a pagan nation, corrupt and idolatrous, and God allowed it not to rain for
three and a half years. Elijah by order of Jehovah went to live in the stream of
Cherith, and because of the drought, this stream dried up and God took him to
another place. (to Zarephath)
“Believing in God”: It is trusting in Him, in His Word, in His promises. Believing
God is the basis of all God's dealings with man. It is more than just believing in
God.
