From Fae By Nature Choral Works' suite, Starflung Lullabies:
Seven Sisters (Pleiades), a sparkling song for Children's Choir.
For thousands of years, The Pleiades have been one of the most recognized and beloved constellations in the night sky. For ancient peoples, the cycles of The Seven Sisters' journey across the heavens were central to spirituality as well as the timing of agricultural practices.
Children and adults around the world still look at the Pleiades with wonder and admiration. But what do the Seven Sisters see when they gaze down at us from the vastness of space? For whom do they shine?

Seven sisters dancing in the sky.
Seven sisters dancing in the sky.
Seven sisters dancing in the sky!
Pleiades, sparkle overhead
in my little window beside my bed.
Nighthawks cry as we dance across the sky,
my shining Seven Sisters and I.
One shines for zebras in sleepy silver beams
on savannahs where cheetah kittens run in their dreams.
Two shine for whale calves swimming happily
with their mothers in the deep, blue sea.
Pleiades, sparkle overhead
in my little window beside my bed.
Nighthawks cry as we dance across the sky,
my shining Seven Sisters and I.
Three shine for wolf pups singing to the moon
with a chorus of family, who taught them the tune.
Four shine for owlets learning how to fly
among the Seven Sisters of the Sky.
Pleiades, sparkle overhead
in my little window beside my bed.
Nighthawks cry as we dance across the sky,
my shining Seven Sisters and I.
Five shine for crowlings cawing as they play, sliding
down a rooftop on a snowy day.
Six shine for Waxwings in a cedar tree.
And all Seven Sisters shine for me!
Pleiades, sparkle overhead
in my little window beside my bed.
Nighthawks cry as we dance across the sky,
my shining Seven Sisters and I.
Seven sisters dancing in the sky.
Seven sisters dancing in the sky.
Seven sisters dancing in the sky!
