Another year, another TennoCon! This year was a little different, with the team stuck in lockdown at home, it's not so easy to develop a large-scale video game like Warframe. Nor is it easy to put on a fan conference. But I'd have to say, with TennoCon 2020, Digital Extremes has smashed it out of the park.

More downtime before TennoCon means nothing super new to discuss - apart from the release of the Steel Path. But this time, we decided to grab the NotCultGuy, a member of our Discord moderation team, for a bit of a chat about why he is now a bit of a lapsed Warframe player - and what it might take to get him to come back.

Among other things, of course. It wouldn't be an episode of Cephalon Squared if we didn't end up talking about something off-topic!

Another quiet week means another week closer to TennoCon. But I guess it wasn't that quiet, given Deadlock Protocol finally hit consoles this week! Yay! As a result, we give you a double discussion this week, looking at the Deadlock Protocol and detailing our expectations for TennoCon 2020.

Unlike recent weeks, there was a bit of news to cover this week, as well as an impromptu Home Devstream that provided some details on the forthcoming "Steel Path" addition to Warframe. As this was not a standard Devstream (it was mostly focused on one thing) we decided to cover the Steel Path as one of two discussion topics - the other being a playable derelict we recently found in the Veil Proxima...

Well... we're back at episode 1 again... kinda.  Was a little weird to hit 100 episodes, but we're so glad you stuk with us along the way.

While there's still a bunch of downtime at DE due to TennoCon preparations, we took the time to discuss the evolution of weapon mechanics and how we'd like to see them KEEP evolving. Ratchet and Clank style weapons? Why not, I say!

And of course we have all the usual segments to keep you entertained - business as usual for Cephalon Squared!

It's a huge achievement in and of itself to hit 100 episodes of ANYTHING, let alone 100 consecutive weekly podcast episodes. And more than that? It's an absolutely humbling honour to reach that with an audience that seems to appreciate what we do. So thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts.

This episode is slightly different from usual - it's long, for one, but we really just had a bunch of fun and invited some of our mods to join us. But it was for you just as much as it was for us, so we covered most of the expected stuff!

Woah... Almost 100 episodes of Cephalon Squared! Whether you've been with us for the whole time, or you just started - thank you. We are just as surprised as you are that a couple of Aussies managed to make a Warframe podcast that has managed to last as long as it has. Humbled.

Anyway... this week has kind of sucked... for the whole world, really. It was super quiet, super contentious, and just... overall, super tense.

Digital Extremes was quiet the whole week, which led to ... well, no news, really. But we still managed to fill up the episode with some laughs (and some serious stuff) as well as all the other parts you'd expect. Check it out.
