Cesario Estrada Chavez was an American labor leader and civil rights activist.. He co-founded the National Farm Workers Association, along with Dolores Huerta, which later merged with the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee to become the United Farm Workers labor union.

In part one, Cristina tells Carmen about Cesar Chavez' early lif, the troubles and tribulations and the beginning of the UFW. By the end of these episodes, we'll learn about the downfall of the UFW and the ties between Cesar Chavez and Synanon.
