Que tal, Music Zone. Hoy quiero compartir la alegría de saber que esta banda legendaria por fin obtuvo su Grammy. “The Cure” es una banda que desde los años 70´s están haciendo historia y es luego de tantas décadas que logran un hito ue quedará reflejado como uno de los más esperados éxitos de una banda legendaria y que ya está en el salón de la fama del rock. Pero no les traigo un cover de esta canción nueva con el que lograron tan esplendido galardón, quiero hacerlo con una de mis canciones favoritas y una de las más conocidas de ellos “Friday I'm In Love”. Esta banda a demostrado que por más años que tengan de trayectoria mantienen vivo el deseo de seguir creciendo y es realmente maravilloso, verlos por fin levantar un Grammy.

Que tal, Music Zone. Un par de locos musicales, odiado por muchos, queridos por otro, unos hablan de genios musicales otros de basura auditiva cotidiana; lo cierto es que son grandes músicos que penetraron la industria o dos tontos con suerte, eso queda a su criterio. En esta ocasión “Gimme more” de “Paco Amoroso y Ca7riel” es el tema para presentar en esta semana en este festival de música en Hive. En esta canción el bajo es sencillo, pero realmente magnífico y muy acertado para enriquecer cada parte del tema. El tema habla de cómo a pesar de la fama quieren más, ya no es suficiente y de cómo la industria corrompe cada parte del artista, siendo un producto más que un talento, “Dame Más” es el fin de “papota” y el inicio de la consolidación de este dúo, o tal vez la muerte del proyecto ya veremos que depara el futuro.

Esta semana traigo un cover de una versión de un tema con una riqueza musical espectacular; esta versión de “The Bridge”, plantea una evolución a nivel de ejecución de un tema de “Hillsong Worship”, quienes hacen música cristiana y de alabanzas, pero más allá de esto, tomar un tema y convertirlo en un escalón más arriba del virtuosismo es espectacular. THE BRIDGE es un ensamble instrumental de gran nivel técnico, conocido principalmente por sus interpretaciones de temas de alabanza y adoración en formato Studio LIVE. Su versión de "My Heart Sings Praises" es realmente espectacular y posee una línea de bajo realmente exquisita, es por esto que para esta semana en el Hive Music Festival, traigo esta versión.

Siguiendo con muy buena música, quiero compartir con ustedes un tema de “Steve Cole” quien es uno de los pilares del smooth jazz contemporáneo, conocido por un estilo que fusiona el R&B, el pop y el soul con una técnica impecable en el saxofón tenor. Originario de Chicago, saltó a la fama en 1998 y desde entonces ha mantenido una carrera sólida caracterizada por melodías pegajosas y una producción pulida que realmente tienen una riqueza musical envidiable, tomando en cuenta que la línea de bajo es realmente impresionante. Hey, Hivers. Among current bands, Parcels shows us that watching live recordings, with minimal use of tracks, and feeling that the music is more human is one of the things I love about this band. De las bandas actuales, “Parcels” nos demuestra que ver a las grabaciones en vivo, con el uso mínimo de pistas y sentir que la música es más humana, es una de las cosas que me encantan de esta banda. Donde los errores no son errores sino momentos donde tocar el instrumento es también equivocarse, pero tampoco es hacer o romantizar una banda que pueda y quiera tocar mal y por ser orgánica debemos dejar pasar lo mal que tocan; es más bien darnos cuenta que esos detalles que hacen a la música más humana, debe volver. Quiero iniciar el año con nuevos retos, líneas de bajo que van superando ciertos niveles. “The Fearless Flyers” es una banda que conocí el año pasado y para mi sorpresa es un proyecto bastante joven, que fue formado en el año 2018 con un estilo principalmente “Funk Instrumental” con mucho estilo y virtuosismo. Este año me he propuesto hacer cover mucho más retadores es por esto que inicio con "Frecce Tricolori" un tema realmente espectacular con mucho estilo y una línea de bajo impresionante. En el ámbito personal me estoy proponiendo subir de nivel en el bajo y este sería el inicio de esa etapa. Además, que esta etapa la inicio con mi nuevo bajo, pero siempre con la esencia de mi primer bajo. Espero les guste esta canción que les traigo en este Hive Music festival.

Que tal, Music Zone. Hoy quiero compartir nuevamente otro tema del proyecto “Casa en Alquiler” a quienes les hago el bajo en sus sesiones en vivo o en sus presentaciones futuras y uno de sus temas mas explosivos es “Elíxir” que canta Raffer Noza. Este tema tiene un riff de bajo impresionante y que se ha dado forma de manera exquisita y muy melódica, yo por mi parte agregue ciertos patrones rítmicos que por suerte agradaron muchísimo en el proyecto y es por esto que para esta semana quiewro traerles en este Hive Musioc Festival un tema de “Casa en Alquiler” que tiene tremendo flow y que por suerte soy quien lo ejecuta en vivo. Cabe destacar que este proyecto tiene una mezcla magnífica de estilos, que le dan riqueza musical y realmente me complace decir que este es un proyecto de mi ciudad Cumaná, Venezuela.

Que tal, Music Zone. Es interesante estar en el lugar correcto en el momento correcto y así me siento formando parte de un gran proyecto de jóvenes artistas de mi ciudad Cumaná. Lo irónico de la vida es que a quien llamé para ser el guitarrista de mi banda ahora la vuelta de la ruleta nos pone en el firme camino de ser el bajista de su proyecto y en estas últimas semanas poco a poco ha concretado lo que es el proyecto “Casa en alquiler” con banda. Hoy quiero compartirles un tema de “Casa en alquiler” que lleva por nombre “Tienes que irte” en un género muy fuera de mi zona de confort, pero es lo que lo hace más interesante, hacer una bachata es una forma muy rebelde de tocar por primera vez este género, ya que no solo es que este tocando el tema, es que he creado la línea de bajo. Así que para esta semana en el Hive Music Festival, quiero compartir esta canción.

Una de las mayores joyas de la música y espero que no sea olvidado en el corto plazo es la legendaria canción de “Diana Ross”, "I'm Coming Out" una canción poderosa, exuberante y liberadora lanzada en los 80´s como el segundo sencillo del álbum Diana. Producida por el legendario dúo de Chic, Nile Rodgers y Bernard Edwards, la canción es un magistral ejemplo de la transición del disco al pop/R&B de principios de los 80. La canción lleva el inconfundible sello de Chic: una línea de bajo pulsante y contagiosa (cortesía de Bernard Edwards, uno de mis bajistas favoritos por su increíble técnica), una guitarra rítmica minimalista y precisa (Nile Rodgers) y una instrumentación de metales y cuerdas que construye un sonido opulento, pero con clase. Hey there, Music Zone. One of the greatest gems of music, and one that I hope won't be forgotten anytime soon, is Diana Ross' legendary song “I'm Coming Out,” a powerful, exuberant, and liberating song released in the 80s as the second single from the album Diana. Produced by the legendary duo Chic, Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, the song is a masterful example of the transition from disco to pop/R&B in the early 80s. The song bears the unmistakable stamp of Chic: a pulsating and infectious bass line (courtesy of Bernard Edwards, one of my favorite bassists for his incredible technique), minimalist and precise rhythm guitar (Nile Rodgers), and brass and string instrumentation that builds an opulent but classy sound. Truly a musical marvel, and this will be my entry for this week's Hive Music Festival.

Que tal, Music Zone. Esta semana presenté mi nuevo bajo y quiero mostrarles ese sonido espectacular que tengo ahora, desde siempre me he preguntado cómo sonaría “September” de “Earth, Wind & Fire” con un buen bajo, además de ser activo y tocado por mí y creo que esta es la ocasión para presentar para esta semana del “Hive Music Festival”. Anteriormente tenía un bajo con un sonido un poco opaco, muy bueno para tocar reggae, pero poco poderoso para el funk u otros estilos, es acá cuando me decidí cambiar las pastillas de mi bajo por unos pick ups activo, y el alma de ese bajo se rompió y es una historia que ya pueden seguir en mi blog, de cómo pasé a tener un bajo con el alma rota a un Squier By Fender. El sonido de este tema es magnífico y posee una producción de bajo espectacular y que siempre he querido hacer acompañado de un buen bajo que por suerte ahora es mío. Es por esto que para esta semana les traigo este tema para el Hive Music Festival.

Hey, Music Zone. This week I introduced my new bass guitar, and I want to show you the spectacular sound I have now. I've always wondered how “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire would sound with a good bass guitar, as well as being active and played by me, and I think this is the perfect opportunity to present it for this week's Hive Music Festival. I used to have a bass with a slightly dull sound, which was great for playing reggae, but not powerful enough for funk or other styles. That's when I decided to replace the pickups on my bass with active pickups, and the soul of that bass broke. You can follow the story on my blog about how I went from having a bass with a broken soul to a Squier By Fender. The sound of this song is magnificent, with spectacular bass production, which I've always wanted to do accompanied by a good bass that, luckily, is now mine. That's why I'm bringing you this song for the Hive Music Festival this week.
