Greetings friends from Hive and @fulldeportes, today I am going to share with you a training session that I did yesterday, Saturday, on the route from Pie de Cerro in La Victoria, Aragua state, to Colonia Tovar, with a distance of 21km.

Este es un evento que se realiza todos los años de forma voluntaria, en la cual participaron más de cien personas, entre los que podemos destacar los grupos de senderistas de diferentes partes del estado Aragua: Manada, Empalao, Eco Hiking SJM, Manao Runner San Juan, Guerreros de la Montaña, Grupo Picacho, EcotrenCagua, Caminante Los Peñoneros, Amigos Runner La Victoria, Superrut Villa de Cura y Kaminants al Kamino Villa de Cura.

This is an event that is held every year on a voluntary basis, in which more than a hundred people participated, among which we can highlight the groups of hikers from different parts of the Aragua state: Manada, Empalao, Eco Hiking SJM, Manao Runner San Juan, Guerreros de la Montaña, Grupo Picacho, EcotrenCagua, Caminante Los Peñoneros, Amigos Runner La Victoria, Superrut Villa de Cura and Kaminants al Kamino Villa de Cura.

Para este gran reto de senderismo de 21 km, llevé mi bolso, con 2 litros de agua, y 2 sandwich, pensé que no era necesario llevar otras cosas, así que me dispuse mentalmente para realizar esta ruta que desconocía, pero ya tenía tiempo entrenando para participar en este tipo de trayecto que según es fuerte.

For this great 21 km hiking challenge, I took my bag, with 2 liters of water, and 2 sandwiches, I thought it was not necessary to take other things, so I mentally prepared myself to do this route that I was unaware of, but I had already been training for some time to participate in this type of journey that according to is strong.

Cabe destacar que esta es la primera vez que participo en esta caminata, salimos desde Villa de Cura a la 5:00 am y llegamos a La Victoria en Pie de Cerro, allí comencé mi trayecto de caminata a la 7:00 am, esta primera parte me habían comentado otros caminantes que teníamos que cruzar cuatro pases de ríos, yo iba con la idea de no mojarme los zapatos. Después de 10 minutos de recorrido, llegamos al rio, realice varios saltos para no mojarme los zapatos sin ningún problema.

Ahora bien continué avanzando en la ruta, al principio me pareció sencilla, continuamos cruzando tres pases de río, y ya en el cuarto no pude evitar mojarme los zapatos, porque era imposible, en uno de esos saltos, uno de los senderista calló al agua y se mojo todo el cuerpo, bueno esto le sirvió para hidratarse el cuerpo. Luego pensé ya no había más pases de ríos, resulta que venía el quinto cruce y de esta forma pasamos el rio nuevamente.

Now, I continued advancing on the route, at first it seemed easy to me, we continued crossing three river passes, and in the fourth I could not avoid getting my shoes wet, because it was impossible, in one of those jumps, one of the hikers fell into the water and his whole body got wet, well this helped him to hydrate his body. Then I thought there were no more river crossings, it turns out that the fifth crossing was coming and in this way we crossed the river again.

Fue impresionante la cantidad de personas jóvenes, niños, mayores que iban delante de mí, a medida que iba avanzando fue alcanzando algunos, ya que hubo un grupo de senderistas que salieron a la 6:00 am de Pie de Cerro, con el fin de evitar que les pegara el sol de la mañana. Es decir que me llevaba una gran diferencia porque yo había salido a la 7:00 am, y me llevaba una gran ventaja.

The number of young people, children, and the elderly who were ahead of me was impressive. As I progressed, I reached some, since there was a group of hikers who left Pie de Cerro at 6:00 am, in order to to avoid being hit by the morning sun. In other words, I had a big difference because I had started at 7:00 am, and I had a big advantage.

Esta ruta es por toda la montaña hasta llegar a la Colonia Tovar, el camino es de tierra y en algunas partes hay una carretera de concreto, después de haber recorrido aproximadamente 10 km en 2 horas, en terreno plano y subidas pequeñas, ya sentía que venía las subidas más fuerte, una de esta la llaman “La Subida del Diablo” que tiene más de 1km de largo.

This route is through the entire mountain until you reach Colonia Tovar, the road is dirt and in some parts there is a concrete road, after having traveled approximately 10 km in 2 hours, on flat terrain and small climbs, I already felt that The strongest climbs came, one of this is called "La Subida del Diablo" which is more than 1km long.

En esta subida, tuve que bajar el ritmo, porque me sentía un poco cansado, en ese instante un amigo senderista me regalo un cambur y un caramelo, el cual me ayudo mucho para recuperarme, esta es una de las subidas más fuerte de esta ruta, y luego me encontré con otras más cortas.

In this climb, I had to slow down, because I felt a little tired, at that moment a hiking friend gave me a banana and a candy, which helped me a lot to recover, this is one of the strongest climbs on this route , and then I found other shorter ones.

Después de pasar todas estas subidas, me sentía un poco agotado, ya que el sol estaba muy fuerte, en una parte del trayecto hubo un punto de abastecimiento donde nos dieron agua, patilla y caramelos para la hidratación. En este reto tenía pensado que iba a realizar un tiempo de por lo menos 3 horas, pero resulta que la ruta fue más exigente de lo que me había imaginado.

After going through all these climbs, I felt a little exhausted, since the sun was very strong, in one part of the route there was a supply point where they gave us water, sideburns and candies for hydration. In this challenge I had thought that I was going to complete a time of at least 3 hours, but it turns out that the route was more demanding than I had imagined.

Al llegar a una parte de la montaña donde estaba unas torres de telecomunicaciones, era la señal de estaba cerca de llegar a la Colonia Tovar, comenzamos a bajar como 1 km y estaba la meta adelante, llegando con un tiempo de 4 horas, fue una ruta exigente, pero me sentí feliz de llegar y cumplir con este entrenamiento de senderismo de montaña, disfrutando también de la belleza natural.

Upon reaching a part of the mountain where there were some telecommunications towers, it was the signal that we were close to reaching Colonia Tovar, we began to go down about 1 km and the goal was ahead, arriving with a time of 4 hours, it was a demanding route, but I was happy to arrive and complete this mountain hiking training, also enjoying the natural beauty.

En este entrenamiento me levante a la 5:30 am de la mañana, como en todos los domingos que he salido a entrenar estuvo muy oscuro, así que me toco esperar hasta la 6:00 para comenzar la caminata. En este recorrido me acompaño mi mascota Negrito, el cual es la primera vez que logra subir por esta ruta, ya que en otros entrenamientos nos hemos encontrado con muchos perros en el sector de La Represa y entonces se había devuelto a la casa, pero esta vez tuvimos un poco de suerte y pudo pasar sin ningún problema al invadir el territorio de otros perros que viven en esta comunidad.

In this training session I got up at 5:30 am in the morning, as on all the Sundays that I have gone out to train it was very dark, so I had to wait until 6:00 am to start the walk. On this tour I am accompanied by my pet Negrito, which is the first time he has managed to climb this route, since in other training sessions we have met many dogs in the La Represa sector and then he had returned home, but this Once we got a little lucky and he was able to get through without any problem encroaching on the territory of other dogs that live in this community.

Este trayecto es el que va hacia la vía de Malpica El Toro, pasamos por la comunidad del centro de Villa de Cura, después por La Represa y llegamos a la empresa Cefloarca con un tiempo de 35 minutos, todas esta carretera es de puro asfalto y luego por allí busque un camino para acceder a la montaña, no me fue fácil debido a que estaba tapado por los arbustos, al subir por este lado la subida es como una pared, me resbale un poco debido a que los zapatos que tengo actualmente su suele es liza y cuesta mucho más para subir.

Les cuento que hace más de cinco años, la entrada por esta montaña era por una hacienda que estaba descubierta, es decir no tenía ninguna cerca o pare, donde está una tubería de gas, por ese lado subíamos pero igualmente la subida es bien empinada, pero menos difícil el acceso, al subir me hizo falta un bastón de madera para apoyarme y poder rendir un poco más en esta parte alta de la montaña.

I tell you that more than five years ago, the entrance to this mountain was through a farm that was uncovered, that is, it did not have any fence or stop, where there is a gas pipe, we went up that side but the climb is still quite steep, but access is less difficult, when I went up I needed a wooden stick to support myself and be able to perform a little more in this upper part of the mountain.

Al llegar a la parte alta de la montaña, marque un tiempo de una hora, continué buscando el camino para seguir caminando pero los arbustos estaban muy altos y secos, impidiendo el fácil acceso, desde esta parte podemos visualizar la carretera que conduce hacia Malpica El Toro, y las haciendas que se encuentra alrededor de esta y la parte posterior se ven unos galpones de crías de pollos, en la montaña pude ver algunas ovejas que estaba comiendo pasto, Negrito creo no las vio porque sino las hubiese perseguido.

Upon reaching the top of the mountain, I marked a time of one hour, I continued looking for the path to continue walking but the bushes were very high and dry, preventing easy access, from this part we can see the road that leads to Malpica El Toro, and the haciendas that are located around it and the back part, you can see some chicken rearing sheds, on the mountain I could see some sheep that were eating grass, Negrito I think he did not see them because otherwise he would have chased them.

Ahora bien, de regreso me confundí un poco en el camino, pero me guie con una pequeña figura de unos de los techos de una casa que está en la parte de debajo de la carretera, al comenzar a descender me caí pero no me paso nada, por lo que tuve cortar una pequeña rama seca de un árbol que me sirvió como bastón para poder bajar con más seguridad, por eso en el senderismo es recomendable usar bastones para apoyarse tanto en las subidas como en las bajadas.

Now, on the way back I got a little confused on the way, but I was guided by a small figure from one of the roofs of a house that is at the bottom of the road, when I began to descend I fell but nothing happened to me , so I had to cut a small dry branch from a tree that served as a stick to be able to go down more safely, so when hiking it is advisable to use sticks to lean on both the climbs and the descents.

Cabe destacar cuando termine de descender, tomé nuevamente la carretera y llegue al sector de La Represa, allí estuve pendiente de Negrito porque salieron tres perros que querían pelear, pero los aleje un poco para que no le hicieran daño, y pudimos llegar a casa sin ningún problema, hice un tiempo total de 2 horas con 3 minutos.

It should be noted when I finished descending, I took the road again and arrived at the La Represa sector, there I was watching for Negrito because three dogs came out who wanted to fight, but I moved them away a bit so they wouldn't hurt him, and we were able to get home without No problem, I did a total time of 2 hours and 3 minutes.

I tell you that I hadn't trained for ten days, I had thought to rest all these days and start in the month of January, however, due to the habit of going up the mountain every week, it has become a discipline for me and like I am on vacation, I take advantage of these days to do the mountain walk training. I got up at 5:30 am and it was totally dark. Wait a few minutes to get ready and go outside to warm up and start walking down the mountain.

En este entrenamiento me acompañó como siempre mi mascota Negrito, al salir pensé en realizar la ruta Las Rosas Los Chivos, pero pude observar que en la carretera había muchos vehículos de carga pesada entonces como tengo que recorrer 3 Km de asfalto en la carretera nacional, me dio un poco de miedo debido a la cantidad de camiones que estaba circulando por la vía para evitar que Negrito lo vayan a atropellar porque hay veces que cruza la vía si percatarse de que estos carro van a una gran velocidad, por lo que decidí subir directamente el cerro Los Chivos.

In this training, my pet Negrito accompanied me as always. Cabe destacar que tuve que esperar unos minutos que aclarara porque la ruta estaba bastante oscuro, en esta espera me di cuenta que venían otros caminantes en la parte posterior de la montaña, luego continué caminando a un ritmo suave para poder tomar algunas fotografías y videos del amanecer sobre la montaña, donde podemos apreciar la comunidad de Villa de Cura.

It should be noted that I had to wait a few minutes for it to clear up because the route was quite dark. During this wait, I realized that other walkers were coming from the back of the mountain, then I continued walking at a gentle pace to be able to take some photos and videos of the sunrise over the mountain, where we can appreciate the community of Villa de Cura.

En cuanto a la ruta pude observar que el monte y los arbustos estaban bastante secos, y algunos caminantes había cortado algunos para despejar el camino y realizar mejor el entrenamiento en la montaña, realicé un tiempo de 20 minutos en la parte donde se encuentran las barras, a partir de aquí viene como un pequeño descanso, ya que al pasar la subidas comienzo a descender para llegar al sector de Las Mercedes, donde hay como una pequeña bajada que se comunica con la otra montaña.

As for the route, I could see that the forest and the bushes were quite dry, and some walkers had cut some to clear the path and better perform the training on the mountain, I did a time of 20 minutes in the part where the bars are located , from here it comes as a small rest, since when passing the ascents I begin to descend to reach the sector of Las Mercedes, where there is a small descent that communicates with the other mountain.

Una vez que pase esta parte llevaba un tiempo de 26 minutos, ya se inician nuevamente las subidas pero menos empinadas, mi mascota Negrito disfruta caminar en esta montaña cada vez que entreno, él sube conmigo sin ningún problema, a veces se queda un poco atrás porque se detiene con los olores que le llaman la atención en estos bellos paisajes.

Once this part was over, it took a time of 26 minutes, the climbs start again but less steep, my pet Negrito enjoys walking on this mountain every time I train, he climbs with me without any problem, sometimes he lags a bit behind because he stops with the smells that call his attention in these beautiful landscapes.

Al finalizar la subida ya faltaba poco, para llegar donde se encuentran las torres eléctricas y me cronometro marco un tiempo de 50 minutos, con un ritmo bastante suave, los arbustos estaban como caídos debido a la sequia, menos mal para poder pasar por el camino sin ningún tipo de problemas, continué mi recorrido hasta la piedra con una marca de 57 minutos, desde acá podemos ver la laguna de Taguaguay, que se encuentra en la vía hacia Cagua, del municipio Sucre.

Me levanté bien temprano a la 5:30 am, estuve que esperar un poco que aclarara porque parecía de noche, y salí junto mi mascota Negrito a las 5:50 am, él siempre le gusta acompañarme en la montaña, pero en esta ruta como tengo que caminar ruta de asfalto por más de 20 minutos para llevar a la parte baja de montaña, se quedó como a 200 metros atrás, perdió el rastro y se devolvió a la casa.

Cuando salí de mi casa, escuche las campanas de la iglesia matriz de Villa de Cura, anunciando el inicio de las misas de aguinaldos, en el centro de la comunidad pude apreciar varias personas que se preparaba para asistir a la misa de aguinaldo, que este año fueron retomadas debido a que anteriormente no se hacían por la pandemia del Covid 19.

Continué mi recorrido, al llegar en el sector donde están los edificios del Toquito, allí nos encontramos con una subida y luego una parte plana para llegar antes del estadium y comenzar el acceso a la montaña. Que bello se ve el amanecer con la salida del sol, esto es algo inigualable sentir el frío y el efecto que se ve con los rallos del sol en la montaña. Se pudo apreciar que había un olor a humo en la montaña, porque en algunas partes estaba los arbustos y algunos árboles estaba totalmente quemados debido a algunos incendios que me imagino se presentaron esta semana.

I continued my journey, arriving in the sector where the Toquito buildings are, there we find a climb and then a flat part to arrive before the stadium and begin the access to the mountain. How beautiful the sunrise looks with the sunrise, this is something incomparable to feel the cold and the effect that is seen with the rays of the sun on the mountain. It was possible to appreciate that there was a smell of smoke on the mountain, because in some parts there were bushes and some trees were completely burned due to some fires that I imagine occurred this week.

Estos incendios suceden a menudo en la montaña debido a que el sol está bastante fuerte en horas del mediodía y por alguna razón ocasiona algunos incendios que perjudica a toda la montaña y a la persona que viven en esta población, produciendo problemas respiratorios debido al humo y afectando también a los seres vivos que viven en la montaña.

These fires often occur in the mountains because the sun is quite strong at noon and for some reason it causes some fires that harm the entire mountain and the people who live in this population, causing respiratory problems due to smoke and affecting also to the living beings that live in the mountain.

En cuanto a mi entrenamiento, lo hice a un ritmo constante, donde pude acelerar el ritmo en las subidas para medirme un poco la resistencia en la montaña, hice uno pequeño fartlek es decir aceleré el paso de la caminata por dos minutos y luego reduce el ritmo para después en ese pequeño descanso tomar algunas fotografías en el entrenamiento.

Regarding my training, I did it at a constant pace, where I was able to speed up the pace on the climbs to measure my resistance a bit on the mountain, I did a small fartlek, that is, I accelerated the pace of the walk for two minutes and then reduced the pace. pace for later in that little break to take some pictures in training.

Después que llegue a la parte alta pude notar que venían subiendo dos caminantes, me extraño porque los días domingo son muy poca gente sube por acá, debe ser porque alguna personas ya salieron de vacaciones y tiene más tiempo para hacer ejercicios y disfrutar del oxigeno de la montaña.

After I got to the top I could see that two hikers were coming up, I was surprised because very few people go up here on Sundays, it must be because some people already went on vacation and have more time to exercise and enjoy the oxygen of the mountain.

Ahora bien comencé el descenso de la montaña para llegar a la pista de atletismo, cuando estaba bajando me caí dos veces, pero pude maniobrar la caída y no me pasó nada, es importante tener mucho cuidado en el descenso para evitar cualquier tipo de accidentes en este tipo de ruta de montaña.

Now, I began the descent of the mountain to reach the athletics track, when I was going down I fell twice, but I was able to maneuver the fall and nothing happened to me, it is important to be very careful in the descent to avoid any type of accident in this type of mountain route.

Salí desde mi casa a la 5:45 am, parecía de noche debido a que estaba bien oscuro, conmigo me acompaño mi mascota Negrito, sin olvidar como ustedes saben debemos hacer ejercicios de estiramiento antes de comenzar el entrenamiento para entrar en calor durante este primera parte que es asfalto. Hasta esta parte hice un tiempo de 23 minutos, a un ritmo sostenido, que me permitió estar pendiente de que mascota llegará a la montaña.

I left my house at 5:45 am, it seemed like night because it was very dark, my pet Negrito accompanied me, without forgetting, as you know, we must do stretching exercises before starting the training to warm up during this first part that is asphalt. Until this part I did a time of 23 minutes, at a sustained pace, which allowed me to be aware of which pet will arrive at the mountain.

Esta montaña la llamó yo Toquito II, porque se encuentra de frente a la pista de atletismo de la comunidad,no es la misma ruta que siempre hago los fines de semana.En esta recorrido a esta hora solo se escucha es el cantar de los pájaros rara vez me he topado con algún caminante o corredor, porque estos entrenan en los días de semana, y los domingo hacen otra ruta más que todo entrenamiento de fondo de 2 a tres horas y en recorridos planos.

Quiero decirles es la primera vez que mi mascota Negrito logró llegar a la montaña del Toquito, porque siempre se quedaba muy atrás y cuando ya me perdía de vista él se devolvía para la casa, en este entrenamiento parecía como que conocía esta ruta, sin embargo en algunas partes cuando iba adelante se detenía un poco para esperarme y lograba alcanzarlos, y otras ocasiones se quedaba pero luego retomaba el ritmo de la caminata.

Cabe destacar que en las subidas el camino estaba tupido de muchos arbusto, medía como 2 metros de altura, la última vez que subí estos no estaban tan altos pero esto igualmente no me detuvo para seguir el recorrido, lo que sí debía estar pendiente en el camino para no encontrarme con alguna serpiente que pueda pisar durante el trayecto, gracias a Dios subí sin ningún tipo de problemas.

Esta ruta me recordó hace unos años cuando estaba entrenando con mi hermano Francisco, para un maratón en la parroquia de San Francisco de Asís, en el cerro del Peñón cerca del manantial El Brazito, íbamos escalando la montaña, los arbusto estaba muy altos, en el recorrido pisé una serpiente que al parecer fue una cazadora,ésta me mordió el tobillo, yo me asuste mucho y mi hermano me dijo vamos a la medicatura para que me colocará un suero antiofídico, llegamos a este espacio, gracias a Dios la serpiente no era venenosa, y no tuve ningún problema de salud.

Ahora bien después de pasar la parte donde está una torre eléctrica, se puede ver la última subida para llegar a la cima, la cual tiene un aproximado de 1 Km, más adelante me desvié de la ruta, casi me perdí, pero me di cuenta a tiempo y retome el camino que estaba oculto por la altura como ya dije anteriormente. Llegue a esta parte en un tiempo de 1 hora, después comenzó el retorno, donde debo bajar con mucho cuidado para no caerme en el camino.

En este entrenamiento me levante a la 5:00 am para trasladarme a San Francisco de Asís, donde estaba esperándome mi hermanos Francisco quien es otra caminante que me acompañó en esta nueva aventura. Esta ruta me recuerdo mucho cuando estaba en bachillerato, en mis inicios como corredor, en donde algunas personas de la localidad decían que era imposible subir trotando sin pararse esta montaña debido a los fuerte que es esta ruta, pero nosotros dos nos propusimos entrenar mucho más para lograr ese gran reto, y un día logramos cumplir ese meta como lo fue llegar a la cima trotando sin pararse.

In this training I got up at 5:00 am to go to San Francisco de Asís, where my brother Francisco was waiting for me. He is another walker who accompanied me on this new adventure. This route reminds me a lot when I was in high school, in my beginnings as a runner, where some people from the town said that it was impossible to jog up this mountain without stopping because of how strong this route is, but the two of us decided to train much more to achieve that great challenge, and one day we managed to meet that goal as it was to reach the top jogging without stopping.

Ahora bien pienso que en la vida no debemos colocar ningún tipo de obstáculos para lograr alcanzar un objetivo, porque si hay personas que llegan a cumplir una meta no quiere decir que otros no puedan lograrlo, esto se ve mucho en el deporte cuando los corredores realizan una determinada marca en una distancia y dicen que esta durará un buen tiempo, sin embargo en cualquier momento es rota esa marca y logran el objetivo deseado.

Now, I think that in life we should not place any type of obstacle to achieve an objective, because if there are people who reach a goal, it does not mean that others cannot achieve it, this is seen a lot in sports when runners perform a certain mark at a distance and they say that it will last a long time, however at any moment that mark is broken and they achieve the desired objective.

Cabe destacar que iniciamos el entrenamiento a la 6:00 am, inicié la aplicación Strava para llevar el registro de la ruta, pero yo pensé que tenía datos en mi teléfono móvil porque cuando intenté activarlos resulta que no tenía saldo, mi hermano Francisco si lo activo la aplicación en su teléfono y procedimos a salir a la montaña, al comenzar se hace un recorrido en carretera de asfalto de 8 minutos, y luego nos adentramos a la montaña.

En cuanto al clima la temperatura estaba bastante fresco porque había llovido en la noche, y amaneció bien nublado, de hecho cayo una pequeña llovizna que duró muy poco, esta ruta son subidas constante tiene un pequeño descanso que son cortos en algunas partes. Llevamos un ritmo sostenidos durante la caminata me permitió poder hacer la grabación de la ruta y tomar las fotografías en el trayecto de esta bella montaña de mi comunidad.

As for the weather, the temperature was quite cool because it had rained at night, and it woke up very cloudy, in fact a little drizzle fell that lasted very little, this route is constant climbs, it has a small break that is short in some parts. We kept a steady pace during the walk, which allowed me to record the route and take pictures along the way of this beautiful mountain in my community.

Esta montaña es llamada Mata Redonda, porque al final al llegar a la cima había allí un árbol de Cujie en la parte de arriba tenía una bandera inmensa , que se veía desde la población de San Francisco de Asís. Desde esta parte alta podemos apreciar el Lago de Valencia, la siembra de caña de azúcar, la parroquia de San Francisco de Asís, Augusto Mijares, la subestación La Horqueta, que distribuye la energía eléctrica a estas comunidades, y también se ven algunos edificios de Villa de Cura.

This mountain is called Mata Redonda, because at the end, when you reached the top, there was a Cujie tree, on top it had a huge flag, which could be seen from the town of San Francisco de Asís. From this upper part we can appreciate Lake Valencia, the sugarcane fields, the parish of San Francisco de Asís, Augusto Mijares, the La Horqueta substation, which distributes electricity to these communities, and some buildings of Villa de Cura.

Cuando llegamos a la parte alta del cerro, lo hicimos en un tiempo de 52 minutos, descansamos unos minutos y teníamos pensamos subir otra montaña más, donde hace muchos años había unos nidos de Zamuros, pero la ruta estaba muy tupida de arbustos que nos impidió seguir el recorrido. Tenemos que esperar que venga el verano para que se despeje un poco el camino para poder subir a esta parte de la montaña.

When we reached the top of the hill, we did it in a time of 52 minutes, we rested for a few minutes and we thought we would climb another mountain, where many years ago there were Vulture nests, but the route was very thick with bushes that prevented us from follow the tour. We have to wait for summer to come so that the path clears up a bit to be able to climb this part of the mountain.

Este entrenamiento se inició a la 5:40 am, estaba bastante oscuro y a pesar de esto primero que nada realice mi calentamiento con ejercicios de estiramientos y pequeños trotes en tiempo de diez minutos, es importante realizar el calentamiento antes y después de haber terminado la ruta, para reacondicionar los músculos del cuerpo. Después del este calentamiento hice un recorrido de 22 minutos, pasando por el centro de la población de Villa Cura, para después llegar a la comunidad del Toquito.

This training started at 5:40 am, it was quite dark and despite this, first of all I warmed up with stretching exercises and short jogs in ten minutes, it is important to warm up before and after finishing the route , to recondition the muscles of the body. After this warm-up, I traveled for 22 minutes, passing through the center of the town of Villa Cura, to later reach the community of Toquito.

Esta primera parte sirve de calentamiento para acceder luego a la montaña, donde comienza las subidas en esta ruta, que son seguidas y algunas parte hay un pequeño descanso, que me permite hidratarme a pesar de que no esté haciendo sol, porque el clima está bastante fresco con un poquito de frío.

This first part serves as a warm-up to then access the mountain, where the climbs on this route begin, which are continuous and in some parts there is a short break, which allows me to hydrate even though it is not sunny, because the weather is quite fresh with a little cold.

Al salir de casa mi mascota Negrito se vino conmigo pero él es un perrito que se entretiene mucho en el recorrido con los diferentes olores que siente y las cosas que ve, por eso se quedó rezagado como a 200 metros de mi persona y entonces al no verme se devolvió a casa. Una de las cosas que no me gusta mucho de este trayecto en la parte de la carretera de asfalto porque no es recomendable hacer muy seguido entrenamiento en este tipo de ruta, porque esto las rodillas sufren mucho por el impacto del asfalto a pesar de que tengamos zapatos deportivos adecuado al entrenamiento.

A diferencia de la ruta de Los Chivos, que queda a 4 minutos de casa, entonces el recorrido es bastante corto para adentrarse en la montaña. Regresando a la ruta del Toquito, debido a las lluvia durante toda la semana los arbustos están bastante alto pero todavía se ve el camino que estuvo bastante húmedo, y debía tener mucho cuidado a la hora de subir y bajar esta bella montaña.

Unlike the Los Chivos route, which is 4 minutes from home, then the route is quite short to get into the mountains. Returning to the Toquito route, due to the rain throughout the week the bushes are quite high but you can still see the path that was quite wet, and you had to be very careful when going up and down this beautiful mountain.

Otro de los aspectos a tomar en cuenta cuando se hace este tipo de entrenamiento es la utilización de calzado adecuado, es decir que sea suave y tenga tacos en la parte de abajo que nos permite el agarre en la subida y en el caso del suelo este resbaladizo podamos evitar una caída durante el entrenamiento. Además de usar una ropa como la franela y short que sean de tipo impermeable es decir que absorba el sudor, para de esta forma sentirnos bien en el entrenamiento que estemos realizando en la montaña.

Another aspect to take into account when doing this type of training is the use of suitable footwear, that is to say that it is soft and has studs on the bottom that allows us to grip the climb and in the case of the ground this slippery we can avoid a fall during training. In addition to wearing clothing such as flannel and shorts that are waterproof, that is, that absorb sweat, so that we feel good in the training we are doing in the mountains.

Cabe destacar que al comenzar hice el trayecto a un ritmo sostenidos hasta llegar a la comunidad del Toquito, después al adentrarme a la montaña reduje un poco el ritmo para hacer las tomas fotográficas y los vídeos que se pueden apreciar en este entrenamiento.

It should be noted that at the beginning I made the journey at a sustained pace until I reached the Toquito community, then when I entered the mountain I slowed down a bit to take the photographs and videos that can be seen in this training.

Esta semana no pude entrenar, pero planifique con mi hermano Francisco para realizar esta ruta la cual es bastante fuerte, con un recorrido de muchas pendientes que requiere de buenas condiciones físicas. Este entrenamiento casi lo suspendemos debido a la lluvia pero está se calmó y pudimos cumplir con este recorrido.

This week I couldn't train, but I planned with my brother Francisco to do this route which is quite strong, with a route of many slopes that requires good physical conditions. We almost suspended this training due to the rain, but it calmed down and we were able to complete this route.

Me levante a la 5:00 am de la mañana, porque tuve que tomar un transporte desde donde vivo a San Francisco, corrí con suerte porque a la 5:30 llegó el autobús con este destino, al llegar salimos exactamente a la 6:10 am con clima bastante nublado, donde posiblemente podía llover pero por suerte no llovió y se hizo el entrenamiento.

I got up at 5:00 am in the morning, because I had to take a transport from where I live to San Francisco, I was lucky because at 5:30 the bus arrived with this destination, when we arrived we left exactly at 6:10 am with quite cloudy weather, where it could possibly rain but luckily it didn't and the training was done.

Iniciamos desde la casa de mi madre, cuyo recorrido es 1 km de carretera de asfalto, pasando por calle La Libertad, y después nos adentramos a la parte fuerte que es la montaña para poder acceder al cerro de El Peñón. Establecimos un ritmo bastante bueno, en el trayecto aprovecho en realizar alguna toma fotográfica y de vídeo para mostrárselos a todos ustedes.

We start from my mother's house, whose route is 1 km of asphalt road, passing through La Libertad street, and then we enter the strong part that is the mountain to be able to access the El Peñón hill. We established a fairly good rhythm, on the way I take the opportunity to take some photos and videos to show them to all of you.

En la ruta se pudo apreciar que había un poco de neblina y algunas partes del camino estaban tupidas de muchos arbustos que crecieron gracias a la lluvia, en temporada de sequía se entrena sin inconvenientes con el monte que está en la montaña pero en estos momentos está un poco alto y hay que caminar con mucho cuidado para no toparse con algunas serpientes.

On the route it was possible to see that there was a bit of fog and some parts of the road were dense with many bushes that grew thanks to the rain, in the dry season you train without problems with the mount that is on the mountain but at the moment it is a bit high and you have to walk very carefully not to run into some snakes.

Cabe destacar que nos encontramos en el caminos algunos ganados que estaba comiendo un poco de pasto, y estos se asustaron un poco porque por esta parte de esta montaña son pocas las personas que entrenan a parte de mi hermano Francisco, creo que el cerro de Los Chivos es más visitado por los caminantes y corredores.

It should be noted that we met some cattle on the road that were eating a bit of grass, and they got a little scared because in this part of this mountain there are few people who train apart from my brother Francisco, I think that the hill of Los Chivos is more visited by walkers and joggers.

Todos los años en el mes de octubre se realizaba la caminata de El Peñón pero no se pudo realizar debido a que unos de los principales organizadores está recién operado y requería mucho reposo, por eso se suspendió esta gran caminata de montaña. Le comenté a mi hermano que sería interesante que esta caminata llegara al cerro La Bandera, porque en años anteriores al llegar a la cantera El Peñón, el trayecto es pura bajada, y en esta algunos caminantes en vez de caminar empezaba a correr para sobrepasar a los que íbamos entre los primeros lugares.

Every year in the month of October the El Peñón trek was carried out but it could not be carried out because one of the main organizers had just undergone surgery and required a lot of rest, that is why this great mountain trek was suspended. I commented to my brother that it would be interesting if this trek reached the La Bandera hill, because in previous years when reaching the El Peñón quarry, the route is pure descent, and on this one some walkers instead of walking began to run to surpass those of us who were among the first places.

Llegamos a la parte alta del cerro La Bandera con un kilometraje de 4km y 455 metros, con una altura máxima de 840 metros, desde aquí podemos apreciar una vista impresionante de la localidad de San Francisco de Asís, la parroquia Agusto Mijares (Tocorón) y también otro cosa que no mencioné es el lago de Valencia que se ve al final, en la parte verde es toda la siembra de caña de azúcar que es utilizada por la empresa El Palmar para el procesamiento de la azúcar.

We reach the top of La Bandera hill with a mileage of 4km and 455 meters, with a maximum height of 840 meters, from here we can appreciate an impressive view of the town of San Francisco de Asís, the Agusto Mijares parish (Tocorón) and also another thing that I did not mention is the lake of Valencia that you can see at the end, in the green part is all the sugarcane planting that is used by the El Palmar company for the processing of sugar.

Para finalizar hicimos un tiempo de 2 horas 19 minutos, en la aplicación no Strava no se marcó correctamente debido a la falta de cobertura y la distancia total fue de 9 kilómetros con 260 metros, por otro lado con la aplicación Actifit registró 10348 paso, esta aplicación funciona perfectamente sin conectividad ya que lo que registra es el movimiento de los pasos.

To finish we did a time of 2 hours 19 minutes, in the non-Strava application it was not marked correctly due to lack of coverage and the total distance was 9 kilometers with 260 meters, on the other hand with the Actifit application it registered 10348 steps, this The application works perfectly without connectivity since what it records is the movement of the steps.
