Pastor Tom continues our study through the book of James by teaching us how to keep our faith impartial. We are reminded not to place judgements based on appearances, but to be impartial because God is totally impartial. This week is the last of a three-part teaching based on James 1:19-27 that teaches us how to stop deceiving ourselves and how to start producing fruit. As we continue in this series, Pastor Tom reminds us that we often see two realties in our lives. When we focus on the size of our problems, we forget the size of our God. Listen as we learn that It’s not our circumstances that determine our outlook; it’s the way we interpret our circumstances!

It’s not enough to just hear the word, WE MUST DO IT AS WELL! This week we are taught by Pastor Tom that many Christians have mistaken the idea that hearing a good sermon or Bible study is what makes them grow and get God’s blessings, but we must take action as well! Listen as learn that if we don’t line ourselves up with practicing the Word of God, our faith is dead.

This week Pastor Tom shares with us what God's Word says about living optimistically. For us to be ultimately defeated, we would have to be separated from Christ's love for us. But here’s the good news: No spiritual foe can enforce such a separation between God and His followers! Listen as we are reminded that no circumstance can separate us from our loving God!

Tonight, Pastor James reminds us that we often deceive ourselves in many ways. How do we keep from fooling ourselves? The book of James show us three ways: to receive the Word, practice the Word, and to share the Word. Listen as we focus on the first part, how to truly receive God's Word.

As we continue in our series Thriving in Chaos, Pastor Tom teaches us about the power of Biblical Hope. Biblical hope is deep-seated confidence in God’s character and sovereignty. Listen as the learn that when we obey the light of the Word that we know, God shows up! And every time He does, our hope grows stronger!

Pastor Tom teaches us from James about handling and overcoming temptation by understanding the enemy and remembering God's promises. He will not let us be tempted beyond our ability, but will provide us a way out. Take heart, for Jesus has overcome the world!
