Yesterday, guest speaker Kim Unrau brought a practical and encouraging message titled “Enjoying Peace”. Drawing from John 14:16–19, he unpacked what it means to truly know and trust Jesus, and how to hear the voice of God with confidence. Kim shared simple, biblical insight into walking in the fruit of the Spirit—especially love, joy, and peace—and challenged us to live from the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit every day.

In “The Prophetic,” Pastor Jess reminds us that when God formed man in Genesis, He created a speaking spirit—a prophetic being designed to hear and partner with His voice. She teaches that the best way to receive a word from the Lord is from the Lord Himself, because through Christ we live in the Holy of Holies and, as His sheep, we can know His voice. This message also brings needed balance: prophetic words must be tested, fruit reveals the true tree over time, and the fear of the Lord keeps our hearts pure so we can steward and speak His word with integrity.

Drawing from Scripture, she reminds us that God’s Word is alive, meant to be spoken, and capable of shaping both our present and our future.

This message calls believers to store up a true inheritance—God’s Word and Spirit—and to intentionally speak life, faith, and hope over the next generation.

What does true devotion to Christ really look like?

In this message, Pastor Sam calls us to examine our allegiance and reminds us that devotion to Jesus is never divided. Drawing from Matthew 6:24, we’re confronted with the truth that we cannot serve two masters—our hearts must cling wholly to Christ while rejecting anything that competes for our attention.

Together, we explore three things every follower of Jesus must intentionally reject:

1. Easy – Jesus makes it clear that following Him is not the wide, comfortable road, but the narrow way that requires surrender (Matthew 19:20–23).

2. The Rearview Mirror (the idol of yesterday) – While we can honour the past and build upon it, we must not worship it or become trapped by it. Looking back can keep us from stepping fully into what God is doing now (Luke 17:28–33).

3. Our Old Identity – In Christ, we are made brand new. The labels and identities that once defined us no longer have authority over us. Jesus promises a new name to those who overcome—a name that speaks of intimacy, belonging, and friendship with Him (Revelation 2:17).

This sermon is a call to renewed devotion, wholehearted surrender, and a deeper commitment to follow Jesus alone.

In this message, Pastor Jess speaks on unity through the lens of devotion. Reading from Deuteronomy—the passage Jesus draws from when teaching on the greatest commandment in Matthew 22—she reminds us that unity flows from a shared pursuit of the heart of God. As we devote ourselves fully to loving the Lord, we are formed into a people of one heart, one mind, and one pursuit. This message calls us to a deeper, collective devotion that keeps us united by keeping God first.

In this message, Pastor Sam McGrew unpacks Jesus’ words in Luke 11 about asking, seeking, and knocking—and the Father’s promise to give the Holy Spirit to those who pursue Him. Connecting this teaching to Acts 2, we explore how the early disciples prayed, waited, and were prepared for the outpouring of the Spirit through a posture of holy devotion.

What is the purpose of asking and seeking? Why does God invite His church to hunger for the fullness of the Holy Spirit? The answer is not comfort, but consecration—to go further up and further in to the presence, power, and glory of God.

This message calls the church to rise, to pursue God with bold faith, and to hasten the return of Christ through lives marked by prayer, surrender, and holy devotion.

In this message, Pastor Sam McGrew speaks on how those who are surrendered to Christ and joined to His body are a gift—to one another and to the world around us. Drawing from John 21, we look at Jesus’ call to Peter to feed and tend His sheep, a call that demands loving action rather than mere intention. Turning to Acts 2, we see what that love looks like when lived out: a church fully devoted to God and deeply committed to one another. This message concludes with a call for this year to be marked by devotion—to Christ, to His people, and to the mission He has entrusted to us.

In this sermon, Shalom of God, Pastor Leah explores the rich, biblical meaning of peace—shalom—as more than the absence of conflict. Shalom is wholeness, alignment, completeness, and restoration in every area of life. Drawing from Scripture, including Isaiah 9 and Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:9, Pastor Leah invites us to see God’s peace as something that He actively brings and sustains.

In this Christmas-season message, Pastor Jessica invites us to behold Jesus as the ultimate gift. Walking through the genealogy of Christ and the story of His arrival, Jessica highlights the responses of those present at the first Christmas—those who welcomed and those who resisted. We're ultimately left with a question: Are we prepared for the arrival of Jesus? The same Jesus who came once is coming again. This sermon calls us to readiness, reflection, and renewed hope in the One who is returning.

In this special Vision Sunday service, Foundations + Future, we heard from Pastors Sam, Jessica, and Leah, along with our worship leader Sarah Garland and one of our children's ministry leaders Tyler Roy. Together, we explored the importance of vision—both the foundations God has established in our church and the future He is calling us into.
