As always, the Meister shares tales of his globe trotting trips including watching world cup soccer at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, interesting plumbing issues and the lovely scent that permeated one Italian city. Facts about wealthy cats, volcanoes, artists' feces and some unusual laws kill some time as does a conversation about the most incredible fact about Italy! It seems they have a wine fountain that provides free vino for all!!! Did we also mention there is some killer tunes?

The Canadian Geeks return to continue the decade of decadence Battle of the Playlists! This week, Wallygator and The Meister do battle for the year 1984! For those that keep score, it's all tied 2-2 in this 10 episode battle. So the gloves come off as we feature some of the amazing hard rock and heavy metal released in the year 1984. In case you have not experienced one of our playlist battles, it works like this. The Meister and Wallygator each select a 6 Song playlist from the selected year. Both playlists played in their entirety identified as simply “Playlist A” and later “Playlist B”. You will not know which playlist belongs to which host and nope, we ain’t telling! YOU, the listener can vote on which playlist you think should WIN!

So as is par for the course with the Canadian Geeks, best laid plans go to waste! Late last year the Meister exclaimed that the CGCM Podcast was going weekly!! It turned out to be the longest stretch of weekly episode churned out by the heavy metal hosers. Alas, the streak is over. Crashed and burned but then again, what did you really expect.

The thing is, both of your hosts have full time jobs and lives and responsibilities and well let's face it, the Meister travels too much. This often leaves Wallygator wondering what continent, what festival and what bar room floor the Meister is napping on. If only the CGCM Podcast actually paid all their bills we would be willing to go DAILY! So once again we apologize for the delays. In the meantime the boys went back into the vault.

You heard that right, just like the KISS Vault filled with old stages and costumes and all that. The CGCM Podcast Vault exists. It contains mostly empty Rhythm & Brews bottles but there was one important find! One lonely, dusty banked episode of the CGCM Podcast! On a hot August weekend, the Canadian Geeks head to the Nashville Rock n Pod Expo for a full weekend of alcoholic mayhem. The Meister, Wallygator and Buzzsaw Barley got into plenty of mischief. what you are about to experience is the first of three episodes capturing the sights, the sounds and the smells of their adventures. Hundreds of beers and a bottle of "Schmendlemans" Canadian Whiskey were harmed during the duration of this crazy weekend. Near arrests, random naps, a trip to Coyote Ugly, 3am Waffle House trips and more laughter than should be legally allowed.

Part One is busting at the seams with interviews from Tora Tora, Jacob Cade and legendary record producer Toby Wright. Also included is the "Canadian Inquisition" as the Geeks test the Canuck knowledge of guests, fellow podcasters and anyone who wanted to sit in the hot seat! After a brief hiatus we are back in action with the third installment in our series of the 30 Day Song Challenge episodes. This drunken mess was the result of recording three episodes in one evening so it should go without saying that many beers were harmed prior to hitting the record button on this night.

This episode the Canadian Geeks focus their attention on days 13 through 18 of the 30 Day Song Challenge. Included are "pick a song you would like to hear at your wedding", "pick a song from the 70's" and "pick a song that you might do as a duet at Karaoke night".
