July 16, 2020 Sin and Rationalization – The Bob Siegel Show Ep. 16

This program is a variety format in two distinct sections, both dealing with the subject of sin and the rationalization of sin:
Part One: Bob replays a phone call question that he answered in a previous broadcast. The question: Why does the Bible call pre-marital sex a sin? If a boyfriend and girlfriend love each other, what is the big deal? Bob responds by showing the Biblical definition of sin, selfishness. He then goes on to explain how sex outside of marriage is a form of selfishness.
Part Two: A satirical sketch: Lou.C. Ferguson: Attorney-at-Law Performed as a radio comedy-drama by actors Nathanael Siegel (Bob’s son) and Justin Slagle. Adam has just been expelled from Eden, “a lovely cluster of condos on the corner of Tigris and Euphrates.” God, the head of the condo association, told Adam that he had to be out by the end of the month. For help, Adam turns to Lou C. Ferguson, a defense attorney who wants to sue God on Adam’s behalf. As the play moves forward, the lawyer’s true identity becomes apparent to anyone listening closely or paying attention to the pronunciations of the first part of his name.

July 13, 2020 New California? The 51st State? -The Bob Siegel show Ep. 15

Bob interviews two guests (Paul Preston and Linda Bell) representing New California, a movement to create a 51st state, breaking off from the socialism of current California and returning to the republic we are supposed to be.
-Paul Preston is a popular national radio talk show host with a program called Agenda 21 and head of the New California movement.
-Linda Bell became involved in November of 2019 as the Secretary for New California State’s Orange County Committee and is currently the Chair of that Committee.
The interview, aired without commercial interruption, takes up the majority of the program.
Also: Bob responds to a dissenting comment regarding last week’s show about Governor Newsom’s executive order forbidding singing in church services. This comment from a fellow Christian quotes Romans 13, a command for Christians to obey governing authorities. While Bob acknowledges that God does command us to obey our authorities as a general rule, he also demonstrates how Romans 13 is often, tragically taken out of context. In this vein, Bob shares Biblical examples of civil disobedience, an exception to the general rule.
