In this episode, Eliana Yoken ‘26 talks to Amanda Perez ‘26 about what our shared and different experiences in the lower school (AKA elementary school at Catlin Gabel) were like. In CGS Senior Assassin Recap we follow the high school senior game of Senior Assassin as it unfolds through street style interviews and brief weekly updates. 

What is Senior Assassin?

A game played at the end of the year by 12th grade students where each player is assigned a target which they must eliminate by squirting them with a water gun. Wearing goggles keeps you safe from being tagged and tagging is not allowed in certain areas or at certain times. The game ends once only one player remains and they win a grand cash prize.

What does it mean to be an American? At what point does devotion become destruction? These are topics we wrestle with periodically through discussing Mitski’s work. Some sensitive topics, such as suicide, are discussed very briefly when providing analysis. Not every song is included in this recording, as sometimes we weren’t very interesting, and sometimes we didn’t necessarily have the time (or…didn’t listen to the song) to provide thoughtful insights. BUT most of the time, we either yell in happiness or go on philosophical discussions.
