Palmira is the owner of a family-run restaurant in Macao. The food it serves is a fusion, based on a mixture of spices traditionally used in Portuguese cooking, such as cinnamon and turmeric, with local Macanese ingredients. The restaurant's signature dessert, baked apple, is made using a recipe Palmira inherited from her grandmother. In her story we see how, through her commitment to preserving and passing down her family's cooking traditions, she is helping to preserve Macao’s unique cultural identity.
