    Amit Shah today laid a statement laid in Rajya Sabha on the incident of attack on the vehicle of Hyderabad MP and President, AIMIM Asaduddin Owaisi on February 3, 2022.
    The Union home minister said on several occasions in the past, the Central Government, on the basis of threat assessment by the Central Security Agencies, had issued directions for providing security cover to Owaisi. However, repeated endeavours of the Delhi Police and Telangana Police to provide security cover to Owaisi did not succeed on account of his unwillingness to take security cover. A review of threat perception has been undertaken again and based upon threat inputs, he has been provided with ‘Z’ category CRPF security cover on all India basis along with bullet proof car in Delhi, Amit Shah said.

  • The Indian Army will get Konkurs-M, anti-tank guided missiles manufactured by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), Hyderabad.

    BDL and Indian Army  signed a contract worth Rs 3,131.82 Crore for manufacture and supply of the missiles. Konkurs-M is a second generation, mechanized infantry Anti-Tank Guided Missile, to destroy armored vehicle equipped with Explosive Reactive Armour. The Missile can be launched either from BMP-II tank or from ground launcher. It has a range between 75 to 4000 metres with a flight time of 19 secs.
