The fact that I don't feel something does not mean that I don't believe it. If it is something good and holy, the likelihood is that I believe it - deeply even - and the villain is not skepticism but simply forgetfulness. I get distracted and I forget my own convictions.
This is a far more compassionate, reasonable and human explanation than the harsh line drawn between believers and non-believers.
The big question then is, how to stop forgetting?
The answer is knot so hard. It has something to do with the Google results when you search "reminder icon."
