On this occasion, I would like to share with you one of my most recent acquisitions for my workshop, and while we're unboxing it, I want to show you how to make some simple polka dots. Join me and I'll show you how.

To offer a quality product, we must use high-strength materials that are durable so that the pieces last longer. This is exactly what I am looking for, which is why I have invested in both tools and wire.

En esta oportunidad me gustaría compartir con ustedes una de mis más recientes adquisiciones para mi taller y aprovechando que haremos el unboxing quiero mostrarles como realizar unos topitos sencillos. Acompáñenme y les muestro.

Para ofrecer un producto de calidad, debemos utilizar materiales de alta resistencia que sean duraderos para que las piezas se conserven por más tiempo. Esto justamente es lo que busco, por eso he hecho esta inversión tsnto en herramientas como en alambre.

Unboxing de herramientas, colgante y aretes de media luna

To break in the materials, I made a pretty crescent moon set.

Using #18 wire for the base, I made one crescent moon using measurements 5 and 3 on the mandrel. This will be the pendant. For the earrings, I followed the same process but used measurements 4 and 2 on the mandrel.

Para estrenar los materiales, realicé un bonito juego de media luna.

Utilizando para la base alambre #18 realicé 1 media luna utilizando las medidas 5 y 3 del mandril, este será el colgante. Para los aretes hice el mismo proceso pero utilizando las medidas 4 y 2 del mandril.

Make 3 chains of 5 rings each. I loved the mandrel clamp; it makes the job 100% easier.

Realice 3 cadenetas de 5 aros cada una. Me encantó la pinza mandril, facilita el trabajo a un 100%

I took three 50-centimeter strands of #30 wire and joined them together to make a weave in each of the moons.

I alternated gold-colored beads throughout.

Tomé 3 hebras de 50 centímetros de alambre #30 y las junté para luego haver un tejido en cada una de las lunas.

Fui pasando de forma intercalada mostacillas de color dorado.

Once I finished weaving, I set about attaching the chain loops, securing them with #30 wire to each of the half-moons. I placed the earrings facing outwards, while I placed the pendant facing inwards.

Una vez que terminé el tejido, me dispuse a pegar las cadenetas de aros, las fijé con alambre #30 a cada una de las media luna. A los aretes las coloqué hacia afuera, mientras que al colgante la coloqué hacia adentro.

Using gold-colored nylon thread, black and gold beads, and a beading needle, I made some beads that you could hang from each earring to give it volume.

Con hilo de nylon color dorado y mostacillas en colo negro y dorado y la aguja para mostacilla, hice unas cuentas que colgabas de cada arete para darle volumen.

I placed a 40-centimetre piece of thread on each of the rings that we attached to the crescent shapes of the earrings.

Coloqué una hebra de hilo de 40 centímetros en cada uno de los aros que fijamos a las media lunas de los aretes.

With the help of the needle, I placed the beads in a staircase pattern on each earring. I tied a safety knot and burned off the excess with a lighter.

Con ayuda de la aguja, coloqué las mostacillas en forma de escalera en cada arete. Hice un nudo de seguridad y quemé los excedentes con el encendedor.

Once I finished my earrings, I made the hooks and attached a rhodium chain to the pendant. And that's it!

Una vez terminados mis aretes. Hice los anzuelos y coloqué una cadena de rodio al colgante. Y listo!

Greetings, fellow world travelers!

This trip was not just a journey on asphalt, it was a sensory and artistic experience. At every turn, we were surprised by monumental sculptures that elicited a "wow!" from the bottom of our hearts. It was our first time on this side of the country and we were amazed.

These works, many of them created by regional artists, are a tribute to the identity, history, and nature of the state of Sucre and its surroundings. The driver who took us there was from Carúpano and gave us a tour full of stories and tales about the region.

Here is a brief review of some of the sculptures that made a deep impression on us:

El Nazareno de Caripito, a huge and beautiful sculpture with purple clothing and flowers of the same color adorning the central highway. Created by a regional sculptor whom I researched online and found some interesting information about, David Martínez is the creator of several of these beautiful works of art.

When we arrived in Carúpano, we were greeted by the beautiful chapel of the Virgin Mary. It was made by the same sculptor. Unfortunately, we could only see it from the outside because we didn't have enough time to visit inside.

This trip was more than just a drive: it was an outdoor art exhibition, a rolling museum that awakens pride, curiosity, and love for our roots. If you ever have the opportunity to travel this road, don't think twice. Stop, admire, take pictures... and let the art of eastern Venezuela speak to your soul.

Este paseo no fue solo una travesía por asfalto, fue una experiencia sensorial y artística. A cada tramo, nos sorprendían esculturas monumentales que nos arrancaban un “¡wow!” desde el alma. Fue nuestra primera vez en este lado del país y quedamos maravillados.

Aquí les comparto una reseña breve de algunas de estas esculturas que nos impactaron profundamente:

El Nazareno de Caripito, una enorme y bella escultura con su vestimenta violets y flores de color violes que adornan la carretera central. Elaborada por un escultor regional al que investigué en internet y me encontré con una información interesante, es que David Martínez es el creador de varias de estas bellas obras de arte.

Confieso que por más que estaba atenta por tomar fotos y videos, se me hizo cosi imposible tomar buenas fotos ya que ibamos en movimiento.

Al llegar a Carúpano nos recibió la hermosa capilla de la virgen. Hecha por el mismo escultor. Lamentablemente solamente pudimos verla desde afuera porque nos quedamos mucho tiempo como para ir a visitarla por dentro.

Este viaje fue más que un paseo: fue una exposición artística al aire libre, un museo rodante que despierta orgullo, curiosidad y amor por nuestras raíces. Si alguna vez tienes la oportunidad de recorrer esta carretera, no lo pienses dos veces. Detente, admira, fotografía… y deja que el arte del oriente venezolano te hable al alma.

Acompáñenme y les muestro el paso a paso.

Materiales:

Alambre de bisutería recubierto en plata #18 y #26

We start by drawing the design on paper. Draw a mermaid's tail however you like. I drew some simple lines.

Comenzamos haciendo el diseño en el papel. Dibujamos la cola de una sirena como mejor nos guste. Yo hice unos trazos sencillos.

With the help of the mandrel and pliers, we begin to shape the mermaid tail as shown in the drawing.

Con ayuda del mandril y de las pinzas comenzamos a moldear la cola de sirena igual que en el dibujo.

Select the color of sequins and glue the mermaid tail-shaped wire onto the adhesive tape.

Seleccionamos el color de lentejuelas y pegamos el alambre con forma de cola de sirena sobre la cinta adhesiva.

Fill with UV resin and arrange the sequins. Place under the lamp for 40 seconds.

Then cover all the sequins with a thick layer of resin and place under the lamp for 120 seconds.

Rellenamos con la resina UV y acomodamos las lentejuelas. Colocamos la lámpara por 40 segundos.

Luego vamos a cubrir todas las lentejuelas con una capa gruesa de resina y colocamos la lámpara por 120 segundos.

Remove the mermaid tail from the adhesive tape and your charm is ready.

Take the stars and seashell and add hanging rings.

Using #30 wire, braid the center of the necklace. Take three 30-centimeter strands and join them together to make eight flat knots in the center of what will be the necklace.

Retiramos la cola de sirena de la cinta adhesiva y está listo nuestro dije.

Tomamos las estrellas y la concha marina y vamos a agregar aros colgantes.

Con el alambre #30, vamos a hacer un trenzado en el centro del collar. Tomamos 3 hebras de 30 centímetros y las juntamos para hacer 8 nudos planos en el centro de lo que será el collar.

We hang the charms on the fabric.

And that's it! We have our mermaid bandana necklace. A beautiful personalized design, ready to wear.

To make these bracelets, you will need:

Para la elaboración de estos brazaletes vamos a necesitar:

Mostacilla de color dorado y verde esmeralda

The first thing we will do is draw the design on a sheet of graph paper. In this case, we will draw leaves to represent our character. I chose clover leaves.

Lo primero que haremos será el diseño en una hoja cuadriculada. En este caso haremos hojas para representar a nuestro personaje. Yo escogí hojas de trébol.

We set up the loom with two Chinese threads on the sides and the nylon thread on the inside. This strong thread will give our bracelet a good structure and will be almost imperceptible due to the similar color of the beads.

Montamos el telar con 2 hilos chinos por los lados y el hilo de nylon en la parte de adentro. Este hilo fuerte le dará una buena estructura a nuestro brazalete y será casi imperceptible por el color similar de las mostacillas.

Then we start weaving. We place the beads under the threads of the loom and pass the needle over them.

We make each line according to the design until the entire bracelet is complete.

Luego comenzamos a tejer. Colocamos las mostacillas por debajo de los hilos del telar y por encima pasamos la aguja.

Hacemos cada línea según el diseño hasta completar todo el brazalete.

Place the pellets at the ends and burn them with the lighter. Then make five flat square knots to close the bracelet.

For the matching bracelet, you will need a connector charm. Place a 30-centimeter piece of Chinese thread on each side of the charm and thread all the strands of thread through a pellet, which will serve as the clasp. Insert a bead into each of the threads, tie a knot, and burn with the lighter.

Colocamos los balines en las puntas y quemamos con el encendedor. Luego hacemos 5 nudos planos cuadrados que serán el cierre del brazalete.

Para el brazalete acompañante, necesitamos un dije conector. Colocamos un tramo de 30 centímetros hilo chino de cada lado del dije y vamos a introducir todas las hebras de hilo por un balín que será el cierre. Introducimos un balín en cada uno de los hilos, anudamos y quemamos con el encendedor.

Una vez más les doy la bienvenida a mi taller @bricolajedc, en esta oportunidad vamos a realizar paso a paso la decoración de una taza para café con motivo de faro de luz utilizando porcelana fría y resina UV. Acompáñenme y les muestro el proceso creativo.

For this project, we will use:

We will also need a UV lamp, brush, gloves, mask, and modeling sticks.

Además vamos a necesitar una lámpara UV, pincel, guantes, mascarilla, estecas de moldear.

Preparation:

Take the cold porcelain clay and divide it into small pieces. Color them with watercolors and set aside on plastic wrap.

Elaboración:

Vamos a tomar la masa de porcelana fría y la dividimos en pequeñas partes. Le damos color con la acuarela y reservamos en el papel plástico.

We make a sketch on the sheet of paper.

Hacemos un boceto en la hoja de papel.

On the acetate, we are going to make a lighthouse with cold porcelain clay, alternating red and white colors.

Sobre el acetato, vamos a hacer un faro de luz con masa de porcelana fría,intercalando los colores rojo y blanco.

We paint the mug with acrylic paint, which will be the front. In this case, we paint the sky and the sea to place the lighthouse in front.

Pintamos la taza con la pintura acrílica, lo que será el frente. En este caso el cielo y el mar para colocar en frente el faro.

We place the lighthouse in a corner and add some finishing touches.

Ubicamos el faro en una esquina y damos algunos retoques finales.

Finally, we wrote a phrase on the aged paper. I wrote "you are the light" and broke it up into words. We tore the paper to give it an antique look and placed it in the mug. We glued it down with glue.

Finalmente escribimos alguna frase en el papel envejecido. Yo escribí eres la luz y lo fragmenté en palabras. Rasgamos el papel para darle un toque antiguo y ubicamos en la taza. Pegamos con pegamento.

We are ready to apply a layer of UV resin and then place it under the UV lamp for 120 seconds.

Estamos listos para aplicar una capa de resina uv y luego colocamos bajo la lámpara UV por 120 segundos.

And that's it! That's how you personalize your mug with a unique and special design. Give it a try and add a special touch to your morning coffee.

Colgante Lightbringer: Técnica de alambrismo y resina

We will also need a UV lamp, jewelry tweezers, a round file, and some safety equipment such as a mask and gloves.

También vamos a necesitar una lámpara UV, pinzas para bisutería, madril redondo, algunos implementos de seguridad como mascarilla y guantes.

Preparation:

-Start by drawing the design of the pendant on the white sheet of paper with a pencil.

Elaboración:

-Comenzamos haciendo el diseño del colgante en la hoja blanca a lápiz .

-Take the wire and silicone pliers and stretch and heat the wire to make it easier to handle.

-Tomamos el alambre y la pinza de silicona y vamos a estirar y calentar el alambre para un mejor manejo del mismo.

-We follow each line of the design with the wire until it looks as close as possible to the original.

-Seguimos cada línea del diseño con el alambre hasta lograr que quede lo mejor parecido posible.

-We use the pliers and the mandrel to help us make each curve.

-Nos vamos ayudando de las pinzas y del mandril para hacer cada curva.

-Once we have finished designing the wire pendant, the fun part begins: encapsulating the chocolate sprinkles in resin to give the rainbow its color.

-Una vez que terminamos el diseño del colgante en alambre, viene lo divertido, encapsular con resina las chispitas de chocolate para darle color al arcoiris.

-Apply a layer of UV resin using the wire as a guide. Arrange the chocolate sprinkles by color and cure the resin using the UV lamp. The UV resin needs 120 seconds of light to cure.

-Colocamos una capa de resina UV utilizando el alambre como contorno. Ubicamos las chispitas de chocolate por colores y vamos a endurecer la resina con ayuda de la lámpara UV. Para que la resina UV se endurezca necesitamos 120 segundos de luz.

-We cover with resin at the end so that all the colorful chocolate sprinkles are encapsulated.

-Cubrimos con resina al final para que todas las chispitas de chocolate de colores queden encapsuladas.

-To finish, we add a ring and a chain. And that's it! We have a beautiful pendant combining two techniques, which I personally love.

-Para finalizar le colocamos una argolla y una cadena. Y listo! Tenemos un hermoso colgante con la combinación de 2 técnicas, que en lo personal me encantan.

Greetings friends who love gardening! Today I am pleased to introduce you to a beautiful place I visited in the city of Maturin, it is La casa del pandebono where I enjoyed a delicious Afogatto coffee that was like having coffee in the garden. Come with me and I'll show you.

The owners of the place come from Colombia, so each of their dishes represents their country with pride. But undoubtedly the jewel of La casa del pandebono is the garden concept.

Every cup of coffee you drink in this beautiful and cozy place is like sitting in your own garden. The tranquility you breathe, the music, the incense and the warm attention you receive when you enter is like disconnecting from the routine and entering a green space that fills you with good vibes.

To be honest, I had never tasted Afogatto coffee before, let alone with the Colombian flavor. My palate exploded with this delicious bitter taste combined with the sweetness of the mantecado ice cream. I was fascinated.

In addition to the outdoor garden, the plants inside the cafeteria are located on beautiful wooden shelves, in vertical planters hanging on the wall, on the tables with small pots and even on the pandebono counter there are small plants that accompany the display.

In this cafeteria they not only sell Colombian and Venezuelan gastronomic delicacies, you can also buy the same products frozen to prepare them at home, dough to prepare your own pandebono and Colombian coffee beans and ground coffee.

I was very happy to receive what I ordered. The chicken stuffed potato and the Afogatto were delicious. My mom and daughter were also able to enjoy the menu, I even took some things to my sister who was at home.

I had to take a jar of pistachio cream because after tasting the pistachio coffee my mom ordered, it was inevitable to want to make it at home.

I loved that special detail of handwriting a motivational message on the bags where they pack the to-go orders.

Saludos amigos amantes de la jardinería! Hoy me complace presentarles un hermoso lugar que visité en la ciudad de Maturín, se trata de La casa del pandebono donde pude disfrutar de un delicioso café Afogatto que fue como tomar un café en el jardín. Acompáñenme y les muestro.

Los dueños del lugar vienen desde Colombia, así que cada uno de sus platos representa a su país con orgullo. Pero sin duda la joya de La casa del pandebono es el concepto de jardín.

Cada taza de café que te tomas en este bonito y acogedor lugar es como estar sentado en tu propio jardín. La tranquilidad que se respira, la música, el incienso y la calida atención que recibes al entrar es como para desconectar de la rutina y entrar en un espacio verde que te llena de buena vibra.

Para ser honesta, no había probado antes el café Afogatto, y menos con el sabor de Colombia. Mi paladar explotó con este delicioso sabor amargo combinado con el dulce del helado de mantecado. Quedé fascinada.

A parte del jardín exterior, las plantas del interior de la cafetería están ubicadas en hermosas repisas de madera, en jardineras verticales que cuelgan en la pared,en las mesas con pequeñas macetas y hasta en el mostrador de los pandebono tienen plantitas que acompañan el exhibidor.

En esta cafetería no solamente venden exquisiteces de la gastronomía colombiana y venezolana, también puedes adquirir los mismos productos congelados para prepararlos en casa, masa para preparar tus propios pandebono y el café colombiano en grano y molido.

Me sentí muy feliz al recibir lo que ordené. La papa rellena de pollo y el Afogatto estaban deliciosos. Mi mamá y mi hija también pudieron disfrutar del menú, incluso le llevé algunas cosas a mi hermana que estaba en casa.

Tuve que llevarme un tarro de crema de pistacho porque después de probar el café pistacho que pidió mi mamá, fue inevitable querer prepararlo en casa.

Me encanto ese detalle especial de escribir a mano un mensaje motivacional en las bolsas donde empacan los pedidos para llevar.

-We start making 5 rings with the wire #18 and with the help of the mandrel in turn #5.

-Comenzamos haciendo 5 aros con el alambre #18 y con ayuda del mandril en la vuelta #5.

-We try that each of the petals is as close together as possible, we can help us with the flat tweezers to join the wire well.

-For me it was easy and I started and finished the petals with a hoop, the only thing I did afterwards was to join the hoops with #16 wire.

-Tratamos de que cada uno de los pétalos quede los más juntos posible, podemos ayudarnos con la pinza plana para unir bien el alambre.

-Para mi fue facil y iniciar y finalizar los pétalos con un aro, lo único que hice luego fue unir los aros con alambre # 16.

-When we get to the same place where we started to join the circles, we are going to introduce a red crystal and a golden bead, we return the wire through the crystal leaving the bead knotted. This will form a pistil. We will repeat the process 3 times forming 3 pistils.

-Cuando lleguemos al mismo lugar donde comenzamos a unir los círculos, vamos a introducir un cristal rojo y una mostacilla dorada, regresamos el alambre por el cristal dejando anudada la mostacilla. Esto formará un pistilo. Vamos a repetir el proceso 3 veces formando 3 pistilos.

-After having the center ready, we are going to start weaving the flower. It is a simple process that is done by leaving the wire # 16 well tempered. We make 2 turns on the base wire of the petal and pass a strand in front. To pass 2 turns in the base again and pass the strand in the back.

-Luego de tener el centro listo, vamos a comenzar a tejer la flor. Es un proceso sencillo que se hace dejando bien templado el alambre #16. Damos 2 vueltas en el alambre de base del pétalo y pasamos una hebra por delante. Para pasar 2 vueltas en la base nuevamente y pasar la hebra por detrás.

-We place a golden bead every 2 strands of wire.

-We continue filling all the petals, until we finish weaving the flower.

-Vamos colocando una mostacilla dorada cada 2 hebras de alambre.

-Asi continuamos rellenando todos los pétalos, hasta terminar de tejer la flor.

-We cut 12 centimeters of wire and place a section of red crystals. I placed 11 and then a stretch of golden balls and in the center I placed the flower and then repeat the sequence. We leave 2 rings on the sides.

-Vamos a cortar 12 centímetros de alambre y colocamos un tramo de cristales de color rojo. Yo coloqué 11 y luego un tramo de balines dorados y en el centro ubiqué la flor para luego repetir la secuencia. Dejamos 2 aros a los lados.

-With 10 centimeters wire we make another section with red clay. We leave the rings to be able to hang.

-With the snakeskin thread we finish the choker.

-Con alambre de 10 centímetros hacemos otro tramo con mostacilla roja. Dejamos los aros para poder colgar.

-Con el hilo piel de serpiente terminamos el choker.

Greetings friends who love handmade crafts! I welcome you once again to my Workshop @bricolajedc. This time I would like to show you how to make a quick and easy earcuff with a yellow flower theme. Join me and I'll show you the step by step.

¡Saludos amigos amantes de las artes manuales! Les doy la bienvenida una vez más a mi Taller @bricolajedc. En esta oportunidad me gustaría enseñarles a hacer de forma fácil y rápida un earcuff con temática de las flores amarillas. Acompáñenme y les muestro el paso a paso.

Materials:

7 centimeters of #16 bijouterie wire.

We will make 4 flowers of petals each. We will use several tweezers and the round mandrel.

Materiales:

Haremos 4 flores de pétalos cada una. Utilizaremos varias pinzas y el mandril redondo.

We start by cutting the wire # 16 to 7 centimeters. And with the round pliers we shape a ring at one end. I use the measure # 2 so that the ring will be small.

Note: I like to run a nail file over the ends of the wire once I cut it, this way I remove any imperfections that may be left by the cutting pliers. This is optional.

Comenzamos corta do el alambre # 16 a 7 centímetros. Y con la pinza redonda damos forma a un aro en uno de sus extremos. Yo utilice la medida # 2 para que quedara pequeño el aro.

Nota: Me gusta pasar una lima de uñas por los extremos del alambre una vez que lo corto, así elimino cualquier imperfección que pueda dejar la pinza de corte. Esto es opcional.

We cut 30 centimeters of the wire #20 and we are going to pass 3 turns just under the ring we made in the wire #16. Then we are going to insert 6 crystals.

Cortamos 30 centímetros del alambre #20 y vamos a pasar 3 vueltas justo debajo del aro que hicimos en el alambre #16. Luego vamos a introducir 6 cristales.

We form a circle with the crystals and pass 3 turns through the base wire, leaving the circle fixed at the base.

Formamos un círculo con los cristales y pasamos 3 vueltas por el alambre de base, dejando fijo el círculo en la base.

Then we are going to pass a ball through the center of the crystal circle and attach it to the base wire with 3 turns.

Luego vamos a pasar un balín por el centro del círculo de cristales y lo sujetamos al alambre de base con 3 vueltas.

We will repeat this step 4 times until we form the 4 flowers. We make a ring to close.

Vamos a repetir este paso 4 veces hasta formar las 4 flores. Hacemos una argolla para cerrar.

With the help of the mandrel in the 4th measure, we are going to make a ring.

Con ayuda del mandril en la 4 medida, vamos a hacer un aro.

And that's how our yellow flower-themed earcuff is ready.

Y así quedan listos nuestros earcuff con temática de flores amarillas.
