Chad is joined by Tom Pohlad (Twins CEO) LIVE from Twins Opening Day! The power is out at Target Field and across downtown Minneapolis so today’s interview sounds a little bit different. Chad begins by asking how it was decided for him to step into his position within the organization and what has surprised him about his experience so far. Tom speaks to reestablishing trust with the fanbase and how important the product on the field is to that effect. Chad then asks about how he deals with fan passion that is directed towards the Pohlad family and the organization.

Chad opens the conversation by asking about the emotions Dan felt when received the call that he was being inducted into the Twins Baseball Hall of Fame. Dan reminisces about how when he was a player that the clubhouse was a mean place even to Sid! Chad mentions that Dan doesn’t sugar coat things when the club is struggling, he asks what it's like being that honest and interacting with players as a fellow member of the organization.

Major Garrett makes his weekly appearance on The Chad Hartman Show. They open their discussion with the developing story of the F-15 US fighter jet that was shot down over Iran. Major details some of the specs of the aircraft and how they are used before touching on what we heard from President Trump this week in his national address about the war in Iran. Major critiques the broad assessments that have been communicated from the Oval Office and the Department of War especially about Iran’s military capabilities.

Chad and Major then wade into the alleged interference that Secretary Pete Hegseth is running to stop certain members of the military from receiving their rightful promotions. Major says that Sec. Hegseth has a chip on his shoulder from how the military treated him during his service and the favored culture he has created at the Department of War.

In their second segment, Chad and Major delve into the firing of now former Attorney General Pam Bondi. Major says there is no satisfying the President of the United States no matter how long someone has been fiercely loyal to him.

Plenty of Twins talk today but Chad and Dave start today’s show with a conversation about the F-15 US fighter jet that was shot down over Iran. Many lives have been lost and one crew member has yet to be recovered. Listeners weigh in with their thoughts after hearing the awful news.

Chad is then joined by Jeremy Zoll (Twins GM) and Simeon Woods Richardson (Twins Pitcher).

Simeon Woods Richardson is a pitcher in the Minnesota Twins starting rotation. Chad asks what kind of texter Simeon Woods Richardson is and what other technology quirks he has. They chat about the changes that Simeon has made to his diet and nutrition. Simeon provides his reasoning for placing that new challenge on himself. He also details some of the lessons he learned from AAA stints last season and how that level change allowed him to work on things before he returned to his Big League level. Chad asks his thoughts on the new ABS system and how it changes the dynamics between player/strikezone/umpire.

Jeremy Zoll is the General Manager of the Minnesota Twins and is first guest up to the plate for the special Twins Home Opener edition of the Chad Hartman Show.

Jeremy opens up talking about how he’s been building his relationship with ownership over the last few months. Chad asks about the differences under his approach versus Derek Falvey’s approach. Jeremy says that the pitching rotation is still the heart of this team despite losing Pablo Lopez for the season early on in spring training.

Chad asks about the lineup’s ability to produce runs on a consistent basis. He also asks about the stock of talent the organization has that plays across town in St. Paul. Jeremy says there’s a lot of excitement in their farm system and how he expects some players to put pressure on him this season to bring them up to the Big Leagues.

A brief show begins just after news became official that Pam Bondi was fired as Attorney General. Chad and Adam Carter react to that news and speak for a few minutes about the news regarding the number of complaints made regarding MPD Chief Brian O'Hara.
